On another one of the fourms I go to, A member named NINTENDUECT was always talking about it. I saw HL2 and gmod and I was stunned. I spent all my time setting up a Steam account and buying it.
I had heard about it before around the internet around '05-'06. Some guy on another forum was talking about it, and he told me what games I needed to get before I could play Gmod 9. Edit: Haha, I mentioned some funny shit that I did while playing Garry's Mod to my friends. I got a few of them hooked, too.

I learned about it from a link on Combine OverWiki to the webcomic "Concerned." xD
I was just screwing around with 2-D sandbox games. (Which at - the time I thought meant coding sand into fire. Like on wxsand. Lol fsg.) . And I looked up the term. Soz I saw something that said Garry's Mod, and went on about being able to make spaceships and I was all wtf a 3d SAND game? Oh dear. :l. That link may or may not have had a warez version that I may or may not have downloaded and may or may not have later seen it costed money and wanted multiplayer and then bought it. Maybe...
I met edberg.

I was hanging with my friend Alexander Breen and he said the his Combine Troops are all addicted to a game called Half-Life, and they play it every break they get, so I started playing it. Some Metro Cop showed me Facepunch, therefore, I started playing Gmod. Oddly, you can spawn Combines. We think that's pretty cool. Oh and REBELS SUCK

I always try to build a rube goldberg but the best i made was like a domino effect that spells out GMOD from a birdseye view.
