Ok, we've decided that TD is not going anywhere and we're all kinda bored of it (and so are most of the players) so we're gonna move on and develop other projects. The lobby will stay up and we'll still host TD for people to play, but we've decided to release the TD gamemode code (not the lobby) for anyone to develop, host, or play. I've stripped out all the lobby gameserver stuff, (no hax for you) and it will probably require a bit of tinkering to make it work (I haven't even tested it) but all the main stuff is there.
The download includes all maps, models and materials as well the 2 gamemodes (td2_game, td2_gamebase). It's 18mb.

the gamemode uses a lobby system in order to organise the players into games. Please be aware, this is the [i]only[/i] reason we use a lobby system for this - if there was a better way to organise players into games, we would have used that instead. We picked the lobby system after we decided on the gamemode, not the other way round.

you join the lobby server, and walk a short distance to the server room. In here, are the screens showing status of all the game servers. When a server is ready, you "use" the screen and when 4 players are all "opted" in, the voting procedure starts. Once a gamemode and map are picked, after a few seconds you are connected to the game server.
When the game ends, you receive a certain amount of money that stays with your account. You can view and spend this money back at the lobby, mainly on upgrades for the towers. Once you buy an upgrade, you can use it on all game servers providing you can afford it with your ingame cash.

f3 (in setup time): Vote to skip setup time

- paralysis tower (costs 20)

But anyway ive started to work on td1_game the first one we had with roller mines, that will be allowed to play as well as with the current one.
and plus fun will never stay the same because if you don't have change people will just get bored of it anyway.

its a bit useless to snip a commented post, anyway the point is, the upgreads makes it too easy for the players who are there a while, and makes it hard for the starters. and commander has a big point. i agree whit him. trugh, as far as i know, bekka [b]is[/b] coding new gamemodes and stuff, so its still being inproofed trugh its a shame that so less players are in.
