stupidest reasons you've been banned v2 - Garry's Mod

do you mean for these forums or for the game itself? For these forums ive been banned for letting stupid peoples comments on a video i made get to me and instead of just letting it go and ignoring them I had to be a jerk and make things worse. (thats why i think i should stick to my general rule of NOT reading any replies to a post i make haha) I cant believe i was so upset over it. I guess its just because i thought i put a lot of work into it and while it wasnt perfect I felt was still better then many videos out there and rather then receiving a few nice comments i just got trolled but clearly immature people. But thats ok. This is the internet, if you get upset over some random persons comment you don't even know then i guess you become the bigger idiot then they are!

PrevailGFX is stating he got someone banned for that reason, implying he may be at fault for his ban

I hear a lot of Rp Bans, and mostly the bans are Rp because of the abuse Admins or Owners. Rp used to be fun and enjoyable back even in gmod 10 now its just blah.. Back on subject I was ones banned on a sandbox server for no particular reason besides not giving this admin my Mech I was building, and of course I now see it on a few different servers, but since the Steam Pipe update it broke it lol.

I was on some Fallout RP Clockwork server with no rules list and no standards shown. That being said, I made my name "Maweedo Del Chavitoo Poquito Cabesa". They did not like it, so I created a new character" Mary 'That Fucker' Jane". They didn't enjoy that either, and banned me for 2 hours for "Read a RP Guide...". What really was kinda funny was I was asking in OOC for a rules list link or anything and all the admin gave me was a screenshot of Batman Arkham City gameplay. Fuckers don't know how to run a server.:suicide:

I got banned for calling out an admin who abused their powers( cheking bases for printers and wepons before raiding ).

So I was an admin on this one server and there was this individual under aged admin that would abuse his powers, I tell him to stop and he would be like "lol calm ur tits", than he spam's the chat but I can't really remember what he said. I warn him again and he is like "lol calm doun". The next thing he does is abuse his powers than I kick him, he comes back and literally in 3 seconds I am banned for 3 hours for "stop kicking me". Than this other admin the guy banned before me comes in and bans him. By the way the owner of the server doesn't even listen to him if he suggested something he would mostly ignore him, and I wouldn't blame him after some time from that day he is like "pls plspls pls gimme better admin tier". So what does he do he adds me on steam and I add him back to see what he says, and this is mostly what he says "cmon unban me pls" "I will tell owner to remove your admin" "lol I know I just want to scare you" than I'm sitting there thinking bitch, I'm not unbanning your ass you wait

For bluebot. Globally. So much for not banning for lua scripts.

Unless garry was searching for people running bluebot on servers with sv_allowcslua 1 set, in which case isn't it possible people where either sending the script from there server to the client?

Bluebot used a recently fixed LUA exploit to bypass scriptenforcer. It's kinda why everyone using it got banned.

People where told explicitly, and I believe by Garry himself, that as long as you're not using a DLL/Injector you are not at risk of being banned.

Speaking of stupid reasons to get banned, I got a whole load of them. Starting with classical Sandbox stuff like: 1. (perm) Admin/Owner wants a copy of my dupe. I refuse. So he bans me and copies off my dupe from the dupe folder on the server. Saw him using my dupes on a DarkRP server later. 2. (perm) A player on the server uses a PP Bypass (old, patched) to dupe my stuff. 10 Minutes later I get banned by Console, saying I use PP bypass to steal people's dupes (he reported me to have stolen his dupe :| ) 3. (perm) Crashing the server. I had a blue barrel I was balancing on in water. They mistake me for the guy with 100 containers next to me. 4. (perm) "No Reason" - First time ever joining the server, and I was already banned on it. 5. (perm) Typical "minge/douche/ass/Admin disrespect" excuse. All I did is try to build and have a nice time. 6. (perm) Using E2. Apparently the owner couldn't ban the tool, so he bans it's user. There was no rule about this, interestingly enough. 7. (1 week) RDM. There ain't even guns on the sandbox server I was on. SWEP are all banned. 8. (perm) "NoU". A guy called Orange decided he can be funny by spamming the old wiremod holoemmiter on my face (this caused a FPS destroying glitch client-side and made the client blind). I asked him politely to stop, then bam, the ban was served. Thankfully, I took pictures and even uploaded them as a ban request / demote request. The guy had forum rights too, he instantly wiped my existence off the forum and IP banned me too. Contacted the owner personally and he told me he couldn't give less of a fuck, even though all the proof I gave. This server's name I remember. D3vine! There was this interesting server coming up on G Mod... ...where you get points for killing on this massive map and you can buy new guns. I got a MP5 (the weapons were ripped off from the terrible copies of CS:S guns for G Mod, the ones we all know and love) and decided to use toggle_zoom in console for better accuracy. After pwning the Admins (10/32 slot server, 9 Admins testing the mod) they decided to ban me for 12 months for aim-hacking. I went to the forum and told them I was using "toggle_zoom and +zoom". They responded the next day saying there's no such commands for G Mod and extended my ban to perm for lying to Admins, banned the forum account and even my IP along with it. Woo. And some Cider RP adventures are due: 1. D3vine's cider RP. I got banned for dragging a sofa across the map, permanently, "fail RP", again by Orange. I was Role-playing me changing my living place and moving my furniture across. What's funnier is the sofa was a World Prop generated by the map. 2. Sn1pe "super serious" RP. SO many bans, all of them for "Admin disrespect / arguing with Admins". What actually happened is I was having fun, noticed Admins are picking on someone, and I try to point out the injustice. Also, was a victim of said Admin overzealousness. Over 20 of these bans. The owner was cool enough to unban me and scold the Admins every time. I tried applying for Admin later on, but apparently these 20 bans are legit, apparently. Also, self-defense with a not-really-realistic weapon (haxgun) is considered RDM. Some other RDM bans were killing the guy who killed me just to pick up my gun (I tried asking the Admins to assist, they refused, oh well). I've been to lots of TTT's! Though, permanent bans all around. 1. AFK-er (what) {most active player, AFK!} 2. RDM (is) {being smart in figuring out traitors is forbidden, yo} 3. Admin disrespect (this) {typical admin whines I RDM'd them, when it was legit} 4. Hacking ( i don't ) {i never cheeeaat} 5. Ghosting ( even ) {seriously, what is ghosting?} Oh I've also been banned on Face-punch before for piracy ages ago. I consider this a dumb reason because I didn't know to get G Mod at the time, and they could've told me nicely instead of 1N57@1337n00bH@Xb/-\nn!nG me on the spot. Learned my lesson and bought G Mod a week later anyways. A buddy of mine helped me out to get G Mod... :v: Dark Rps are everyone's favorites. I got plenty. 1. The typical ban everyone gets. 2. Lying to owner (perm). This one has a huge story to it. Was Splint's Serious Servers ( I think? might remember wrong ). Talked to the owner, and after a while he decided to trust me with Admin powers. A lot of people were pissy that they donated tons of money to get Admin, and I got it for free like a boss. Like any proper Admin I took screen-shots / evidence along with bans and filed them up nicely in the forum. A couple of minges were so pissed, they made alts and called in a party of their own. 5 Of them decided to rejoin under new accounts and trolled, just barely about to break rules, not really breaking rules. I talked to them a couple of times to calm them down (didn't realize they are the server crashing / hacking minges from before. I was going about banning server crashers and other annoying kids who Mic Spam (for kindly low times). The owner messages me a few minutes later asking me why I've abused and points me to a thread with NO proof whatsoever on it, with testaments of those 5 same guys that I've been abusing the entire day badly. Before I had a chance to ask what, or even explain anything to the owner, he banned me "I knew you lied to me" and I think he even made those 5 guys Admins for good behavior and reporting me. This was permanent and somehow, a lot of my buddies changed faith and acted as if I was a national terror. Only one buddy of mine sticked with me after I got banned. I lost so much faith in humanity at this point. 3. "RDM/NLR" permanent. Made a E2 that acts 99% like the trip-mine in HL1 and started planting them all around my base before a raid (they have a 3 second arm delay before they can explode and aren't that OP. Just 100 damage at 50 units range or so). Server had like 12 cops. I pissed the hell out of every last one of them for not being able to get past my defenses. They broke so much NLR and RDM'd so much. They never even had a reason to invade my base to begin with. RP_Downtown, the big yellow warehouse at the edge of the map. Everyone's been there atleast once. I had a mob of 16 people. At this point it was Cops vs Mobs. There's so many more bans, but they are generic with similar reasons as above. I once got banned for claiming I wrote the addon the server used... I genuinely did make that addon. In other news... I've seen a friend permabanned because their game froze and they were floating in mid-air while they were timing out on darkrp.

A guy propkilled me, and then after I spawned a prop to build with. He ran away, and came back with an admin, sucking up to him saying I was trying to propkill him. I was perma-banned...

Some admin was spawning himself crossbows with the toolgun. I happened to be standing near, so I got a crossbow as well. Without a single doubt I grabbed the crossbow and shot the fuck in the face. I then turned on my microphone and burst out in laughter, shouting something like "Haha, don't spawn yourself weapons you fucking cunt" followed with even more laughter. I got picked up by [i]two[/i] admins, put on a roof and when I didn't stop laughing my fucking ass off they kicked me with the reason "stop it". Hahaha! I love this server.
