Where to download the .bsp maps?
Where to download the .bsp maps?
The maps are from TF2, with the exception of DrStalin's shadyoaks and a bunch of other WIP maps. However, even those use a lot of TF2 textures and models, so you basically need it to play this gamemode at all.

woohoo, I can do another section of my comic :D
I need some feedback on the next version of Shady oaks. I'm thinking about expanding the Underground Complex and adding Ladders so you can reach the top of the roofs. If anyone would wanna help me out and draw up some blueprints for a underground complex I would be very happy.
frigging hammer crashed while it was compiling >:(

I had a idea which I was talking to Aska about but I rather post it here also too see what the other players think of it. THE MORALE SYSTEM Pigmask are absolutely fucking scared of the Ultimate Chimera, Right? . If you were a pigmask and you saw your comrade get killed by a monster, Wouldn't you freak out? I know I would because that's how much of a pussy I am. I was thinking If one pig sees another pig gets killed by the Chimera in a certain radius he goes into instant freak-out mode. Freak-out mode works like a Roar. Though they have a chance to not go into freak-out mode. If there is a higher ranking pigmask next to them they would have a higher chance to not freak out when the Chimera eats their comrades. I worked out a system. If there is a Ensign standing near by: 1-10 Chance you'll freak out. If there is a Captain standing near by: 1-25 Chance. If there is a Major standing near by: 1-45 Chance. If there is a Colonel standing near by: 1-60 Chance. ( If you are a alone, These chances are based on your rank. So if you are lonely Colonel walking around you still have a 1-60 Chance. ) There could be a option in the Gamemode Lua so if Server owners didn't want to use the Morale system they wouldn't have to.

sprint pretty much covers the whole morale system. i've seen bunch of players walking in a group, and as soon as the chimera appeared he killed one of them. everyone pressed the shift button and scattered in all rooms.

It helps so the pigs don't act out of their nature, Heroic.
That would sort of overpower the chimera when the pigs are scattered in groups of 3-4.
I've played with some very good pigs and very good chimeras. It wouldn't really overpower the chimera much due to it doesn't always happen every time someone dies.
There are some definite problems with 10+ pigs against the UC, and while a morale system seems a pretty good idea, I don't know if it's the right one.

[del]Run.[/del] Make the hallways bigger. In Mother 3, when you were in the labs, the Chimera didn't take up the whole hallway thanks to the 2D thing and you could just run around him if you really needed to. However, due to the size of the models and the Chimera's bite radius, you can't really get around him in the map.
what about this mo fo
YES I've been saying Colonels should rank up to Scary Womanizing Pigmasks since I figured out the ranking system.
There are some definite problems with 10+ pigs against the UC, and while a morale system seems a pretty good idea, I don't know if it's the right one.
One of the most frustrating parts of playing the UC, IMO, is how you'll almost always get ninja'd whenever you step out of cover and kill someone. It's not insurmountable, but it's extremely common in highly populated games to the point where it sometimes feels like you can't do anything without being killed.
Yeah that's what I was saying before, being able to sprint from out of sight and hit the button makes taking down the UC easy as hell, even if you're the last pigmask left. See if disabling pressing the button while sprinting will make the pigmasks have to work together to get close instead of just one being able to run in and win. Also the bird should definitely hit the button on his back between rounds for effect

Wouldn't really make much sense for him to be intimidated. Unless of course the UC was covered in DCMC merchandise.
Also the bird should definitely hit the button on his back between rounds for effect
Yea, we need a custom animation for this because right now he just ragdolls. I'm not sure what kept us from doing this, round start you see him still lying there and birdie comes and helps him. Oh Fluxy-poo.

Oh Fluxy-poo.
The only downside I see is that it might make it so that the Pigmasks can get to the Chimera too fast- one of the big problems with Nucleus was that you always knew exactly where the Chimera was at the start of the round, unlike maps like Harvest where you had no idea where he was unless he ran by you or somebody told you.
