I love chimera hunt, but there's a pretty big problem, whenever I'm a pigmask and get eaten by the chimera, gmod crashes, please can you fix this?

I just played this mode the other day. It was weird as fuck, but i sat down and played; so it was fun. What game is Chimera Hunt based off of? Earthbound right?

EarthBound (which is it's name in the US) is actually MOTHER 2 in Japan. :smile: As for this game mode, the fretta contest has been extended another month, and I really don't want to leave this game mode high and dry because it seems a lot of people still enjoy playing it (which is fantastic!). So, I want someone to write me a list of all the current bugs (not map related, because that's not my problem) and things that [I]need[/I] to be added. Not just random things you'd like to see added but instead the general consensus of what would help balance the game play the most. In the off time when I don't feel like working on my fretta entry, having a list of essential things that need to be done to CH would really help motivate me to actually do it. Try to be as specific as you can in explaining so I can have an easier time implementing something meaningful. Thank you all for making this game mode popular and I'm ready to fix it up. :science:

So it's a Flux problem. [B]2.[/B] :argh: [B]3.[/B] There actually isn't two UC's, I believe it's a latency issue that causes a player's model not to be set correctly. [B]4.[/B] I'm thinking of just removing collision between pigs. That would also stop some of the exploits requiring you to stack. [B]5.[/B] Hm, not a lot of ways I can fix that without being hacky. It's a Source engine thing that lets you keep momentum by jumping. I've already introduced that UC jump penalty, we'll see. Thanks for the contribution. :3:
Some kind of proportional buff/nerf for the Chimera based on how many Pigmasks there are. Perhaps not 'needed' in the strictest sense, but if the Chimera doesn't change in some way based on team size the balance is always going to be a little bit screwy.

Great mod! I've been pretty active at finding glitches and related exploits, so I'll get the time to post all the glitches I've found/co-founded or that I'm just aware of, if no-one has done so by the time I will. If anything else pops up during that time, I'll make you notifyed, although Jeff (xsjefkex) is more of the man to do it :)
