episode 2, episode 1, and lostcoast are all inside of the "common/Half-Life 2" directory
Every time I try to join a server it disconnects me for missing map, how to I make it download it as I join, that's what it use to do.
I hit play, blinked, and I suddenly see the Garry's Mod window.
it turns out the "Preparing to launch Garry's Mod" window doesn't show up. :dance:

The server owner is the one who sets up maps to download to clients; if you're joining a different server than the one's you have joined previously, then perhaps the server owner didn't set up their FastDL correctly considering the changes in 165.

Yeah but in Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\maps The map is in there, but its not doing anything
Garry, did you remove models/shiny or is this a different problem?

Has anyone gotten Counter-Strike to mount at all on Linux, either client or server? I've seen vague reports of "yeah I got it to work" but I'm not sure if that's on Windows or Linux.

I have it working on my linux server, I ended up symlinking "cstrike" to the server dir (alongside srcds_run) and using just "cstrike" as the path. I'm not sure if it just didn't like the spaces/uppercase letters in the absolute path or what, but it wouldn't pick up the vpks when I did it that way.

^ Did the exact same thing. Worked for cstrike, tf, dod, and hl2mp, but it didn't seem to load csgo content.
The transition to steampipe went smoothly for us yesterday but all of a sudden about an hour ago CSS mounting shat itself.
We run a windows dedi with Tcadmin, about 5 gmod servers. Since the big update yesterday everything has been working fine.
Basically our main server crashed about an hour ago causing that game server to restart, and when it restarted it was no longer mounting CSS content.
I joined our other servers that were still running and they had the CSS mounted, however restarting those servers resulted in CSS no longer mounting.
I am completely stumped as nothing has changed and this happened out of the blue with no modifications to anything on the dedi. Although I noticed there was just a new update post ([url]http://www.garrysmod.com/2013/06/07/13-06-07/[/url]) for Garry's mod so maybe that freaked something out?
Have redownloaded CSS several times with steamcmd manually and through tcadmin, cstrike is about 1.54 gb each time so I don't think its an issue with the content its getting. I hope someone here can help because I've run out of ideas. This is not a client issue.

GMod does launch way faster for me, but certain points do seem to take a few moments longer, however if that's just because the rest is so fast now, I'm not sure :v:

How do I go about picking and choosing what CSS maps to delete? My TTT server is showing ALL of the CSS and DM maps, I used to just go into the folders and delete them but I do not know how to do it now.

You'll probably have to modify the code to only add maps you want specifically, or use another votemap system.
I've checked the thread and haven't seen anyone else ask this, but how come every time SRCDS linux starts the server, it will open the Steam Linux client and wait for you to login / cancel before starting the server?
