I love this server but I've been here for more then 4 weeks and still haven't been accepted by a faction

It's usually 2-4 weeks of non-faction RP until you get accepted. Some factions are more lenient than others on new people being accepted into factions.

Do people still commonly play this? And if so do you need to do anything "special" to be allowed in? I want to try this out since I love rping and stalker. Although I have never played any rp on gmod 10 (I used to play rp [and zs :P] all the time in gmod 9 days) I'm sure I can learn how to.

You don't need to be a "special" to be allowed in, we are an open to community to anyone with half a brain, and you seem to have much more than that.
If you go to our forums, the section called Stalker Roleplay has a subsection called The Cordon which has the general information about Stalker.
Some terms you should be familiar with are: OOC, IC, Stalker, Freedom, Duty, Monolith, Mutant, Bloodsucker, Rubles and Shoot to miss and Shoot to kill.
If you take a leisurely stroll through it you should find it.

I'm a stalker fan with a capital S, T, A, L, K, E and a R.
Planning on trying this, although I only join an RP if I am positive I will enjoy it. I don't like adding the thousands of files RPs need you to get for something I won't enjoy.

After you ragequitted you decided to visit the server for the occasional deathmatch fest. The only people that DM on our server are trolls who have left before, and feel empty and angry.

New update is coming out for the map so it lags a lot less.
If you're having trouble making money, then look for artifacts they're usually scattered in obscure and secluded spots.
