mk, been a while since I've talked to you all and i would like to talk about the whole deal with public release. When I get a stable working version done i will release it to sever owners that ask for it.
Until that time i really need people to go to the server play for a bit and give us some more feed back.
We have done lots of work probably since you last have been on so come on down :D
P.S. a stable version will be ready soon we just need people to play :P

SteveUK, stop trolling the game mode secton about RP. If you hate it, don't bump the thread up and let it fal lto the bottom of the page, soon moving to page 2.
SteveUK, It's not even roleplay. It's a RPG. No job's or anything. We start in a bunker, with NPC traders for medical equiptment, weaponry and Food/Drink. Then you go out doors, which has various enemies. Zombies/Antlions/Headcrabs.
Killing enemies result in getting experience, drops and Money.
Maybe you should think before you speak, or try the game mode before you speak.

Had an idea when I woke up today. Now although I haven't played it yet the feeling I'm getting is the only way to make money is to kill monsters. While yes that suits the theme, it could get boring so I have an idea for a new quest to solve that.
Lifetime Choice (Could possibly use a better name)
In your underground camp thingy their are two new people, Desmond the Woodcutter and Phil the Fisherman. Talking to any of them will give you the option to start the quest. Whoever you talk to will basically big up Fishing/Woodcutting. They will set you a quest to get them 5 trout/5 oak logs in exchange for some training sessions on their respective skills. However say you talked to Phil, just before you leave camp for the trout Desmond will approach you. You can now choose whether to gain training in Woodcutting or Fishing. The same will happen if you talk to Desmond first. You can use the logs for shelter, making weapons, fire and selling them. You can use fish for health, selling them, camoflauge (using Fish skin) and bait to monsters.
Another idea I have is another skill: Skinning. This would allow you to skin dead animals to make Clothes which can be sold for money/worn or Camoflauges. The skins themselves could also be sold. This skill would also be needed to make Camoflauge from fishes.
I like the idea of having some crafting/gathering skills, its on my list.

I agree. Reminds me of Morrowind. D: If I were to ever create a RP gamemode(Will one day, when I'm finally out of ideas), I would do the same things. XD I love the ability to be able to see what's for sale rather than "Hey, what do you want?" and end up going through a boring transaction. XD

Speaking of updates I have made another one! this time its about the Skills in UDRP and a little bit of how the code works too.
This code is very mod friendly, and i can't wait to see what you guys will make when i do a full stable release!

Haha I am well known for my spelling errors, but i am quick to fix them when i can. That one is now fixed too. :D
