ITT: Pointless RP Drama.
Don't go on about how you're going to 'save RP' until you actually do, please.
Learn from the mistakes that DarkRP and its 100's of clones have made and try to make a RP script that isn't a deathmatch in disguise.
Here are some things i see that you're doing wrong already (in my opinion):
[list][*]Death waiting. Nobody wants to wait 2 minutes when they die. Even if it's more realistic, it's a pain in the ass. What if some idiot went around killing everyone? He'd have the map to himself for 2 minutes.
[*]Make that giant citizen card toggle-able somehow, it takes up a big chunk of the HUD.
[*]Unless you're using a day/night cycle, is a clock necessary?
[*]What do manufactured goods do? Do they have a purpose?[/list]

Just ignore them, I know who they are, what they're doing, and it's not effecting my outlook on this project. Keep going strong and ignore the trolls. :)

You don't have to. The latest version that I have has an !acceptdeath command. If you want to die, you die.

They can heal you, or make you faster/stronger/etc for a limited time, among other things.
This is where it begins to make zero sense to me. Why would you want more health/strength if killing people is discouraged in roleplay?

Who said it was for killing. Health can be used to heal you just incase you get injured, perhaps, by falling, shit falling on you, etc. I might make it so you need a certain strength level to pick up heavier items, as well.
Every time I stop playing Garry's mod for a few months I come back and the only new shit is all useless role play stuff that has been made over and over again. You are a disgrace to the lua Fruits.

That's right! The characters now save and load, and I will soon be implementing teams and making a release. The advanced features such as inventory and businesses will start to be developed. :)

like plan things ahead as you would in your daily life.
For example, what banana did up there...with his grandma,
so it's a pretty good idea.

Okay guys, here's what I have done:

[list]Character Creation, Model Selection, Character Loading[/list]
[list]Teams, team flags, automatic team weapon giving, automatic model setting[/list]
[list]IC, OOC, LOOC, Whisper, Yell, and PM chat functions[/list]
[list]Realistic Death (with !acceptdeath command!)[/list]

Bannana, I'm done with GMPS (GMod Pro Skater / HoverSkate) and when you said this script was jokerice I was thinking of making my own RP script. I want to work on another gamemode.
DRAMA.
This script looks like it could be nice, but for some reason unknown to me it managed to attract drama on the level of Conna in six hours. Now that's a major accomplishment. :v:
In my opinion, keep it modular. Make it so it's just as easy to make it into RP with no death whatsoever as it is to make it Combine VS Rebel RP, or Zombie RP, based solely on combat. Might be a bit much to ask, but keep it in the back of your mind.
Also, quick suggestion, it's my opinion that RP gunfights could be made better by meeting a few key concepts:[list]
[*]Guns are inaccurate and not very powerful, but fire a LOT of bullets. This means that damage increases exponentially as you get closer to your target. You could also, instead of horribly low accuracy, have guns do double damage in close range.
[*]Moving causes the guns to become even MORE inaccurate, to the point where firing an SMG while running forward at a target is a death sentence. (You won't hit him once, he'll be able to hit you enough to take you down.)
[*]Light regeneration or easy application of medkits. After taking 80% damage or so you go unconscious but can be woken back up by a teammate at half health or so if you teammate holds E on you for a few seconds. (Call it shaking. :v:)[/list]
The point of these guidelines is twofold: to make gunfights go on longer, and to make it advantageous to hold your distance and trade volleys of gunshots.
Of course, I find RP without guns to be boring 90% of the time, so maybe this script isn't for me. But notice, D&D isn't roleplaying everyday life in a fantasy world, it's roleplaying [i]adventures[/i] and [i]grand battles[/i] in a fantasy world. If I want real life I'll go live it. I play video games to get AWAY from real life.
If you release this please make sure you say that they must have tags when they edit. Because look at DarkRP.. It makes me shiver.. Lol midevil rp.
