The admins are certainly nice, at least the 3 I ran into by accident when I got lost underground running away from a zombie like a pussy with no items on me.
Joined the server. Everything was nice, it was like a movie. Pressed TAB saw that I was the only one on the server. I left.
It looks really nice, better than any other gamemode I've played. It needs a tutorial or something though, it took me forever to figure out how to do stuff. And after nearly 2 hours of playing, I haven't found a flashlight. Which is annoying. And the health bar is pretty crummy. Instead being... a health bar... I don't really know what it is. The admins seem a bit strict though.

It tells you help is located there at the very start of the game.
It also informs you that there is more information on the website.
Also we do need to have flashlights spawned more frequently :)

Very nice server, played for a bit. I got very startled when I approached a person who was just staring at me and when I got close enough to see he was a zombie a horde started chasing me, then they cut me off and I was done for.
I would love to see this on a bigger map however. Something like gm_apocalypse mixed with downtown.

Though from what I experienced was nice, though the community was a bit unhelpful - I asked in OOC how to where abouts I could find a flashlight, which I was then banned from the chat for 3600 seconds. An admin told me I couldn't call myself '[I]Vasili[/I]' because it is a Eastern name, has this guy never heard of immigration before a zombie apocalypse? You know there are Americans with Russian, Italian, German, Irish, British etc - names; why do I have to give myself an 'American' name.
I'll try and play some more tonight if my game isn't going to be laggy.
I'd also like to have a look at the map in hammer, I want to see if I can add a skybox in there with a big city background like on L4D - No Mercy. Add some more ambient sounds and such, perhaps make it a little brighter so everything is literally not completely black.

You need to look into our storyline regarding your name. Also you weren't personally banned from chat, the OOC delay was set, meaning everyone couldn't speak 3600 seconds after their last message. Asking questions like that is also called Metagaming in roleplay terms, you can look it up too if you want.
A lot of guides on our forums teach roleplay basics and terms like that.

My name's "Elmo Saint Claude" and they totally didn't care, though I do think it's a pretty cool name.
If you have trouble starting, realize you have next to nothing but the clothes on your back, and maybe not even that- you should go around buildings and scavenge trying to find stuff. (Try to make it obvious so an admin will spawn stuff for you and play along.) Do not go underground alone, you will get PK'd if you're not careful- you can but you have no defense except fists which will do nothing unless you're attacking a single normal zombie, and if you die it's 100% justified by any party pretty much. Admins like to patrol the subways/sewers and this is where you will most likely get your basic equipment, recruit someone with a gun handy and have him take you exploring.

Well if you roleplay scavenging it's more than likely an admin will go to you eventually and interact as the environmnent for you.

Go ahead if it's an NPC, if it's a player, give him a chance.
Very fun server overall but I am not a extreme RP person so the admin didn't like my "level" of RP and perma banned me without saying what I should do to make my self better. It annoys me because I was new and only played for a day :saddowns:

You can always appeal for an unban after reading some guides or proving that you're better, some of the admins permaban new players quite easily, although it isn't common among all our administrators.
Register for a ban appeal if you feel you can pull yourself up to standard.
The role-play on the server is slower than frozen molasses.
I'm not insulting it, I mean people like waiting 6 years for an event, but I just find it agonizingly boring.
Then again, I frequent a private server.

We have a website for ban appeals, most administrators don't look at this thread so you won't be replied to properly here.

I understand that it is serious role-play but banning half your playerbase inducing one of the guys (Wyll) who just reviewed it is a little extreme.
This server has incredibly bad administration. All of the admins are walking around with huge rifles and endless ammo and robbing all of the new players coming to join who it takes 5 hours to find a damn flashlight. And of course, they'll PERM ban you if you don't go along with it. Fun game mode, really bad admins.
