Please can you put up a tutorial about changing gamemodes,starting a dedicated server,opening ports and admin rights.

Finaly, I have been looking for a place to tell me the basic things! I need to know how to download the latest patch for gmod, right now im stuck with a tiny little window at the bottom right of the screen, it is getting very annoying to scroll all the way through it to find what im looking for!

I still wonder what crashed the server, the idiot spamming explosive barrels or my bomb with something like "999999999" radius on it.. There weren't enough barrels to crash the server and 30 minutes (the timer on wire bomb) wasn't complete yet.

Members that do not stick to this schedule will get a system of 3 reminders, after the third reminder a vote is taken as to whether the member should be kicked out of the group, if a 4th reminder is issued after a failed vote, member gets kicked out automatically, do not let this put you off considering taking breaks thought, as if you were to either prove you had a reason for your lack of presence, or beforehand show us that you are going to be away, we will substitute in other members of staff that aren't busy on your shifts. If your shift doesn't suit you, requesting changes is easy via our forum. Expect the schedule to appear on our forum in the next week.

Jeez! This thread needs resuscitation! Get the AED! I'm back from camp (again) and I'm ready to help out with the server!

Well, There has been small talk of getting a server and we will need to get donations if we want that. It will be about $15 a month so that's not a lot. If we get 30 people to donate $1 each we're set for a month.

This fails, let it die. And why would people donate when they can ask on any other server? You act like a kid trying to get peoples money which your just going to spend on your own PC to upgrade it.

So what you are saying is we have spent all this time helping, making a server, making the maps, making the codes, making the tutorials, making the pictures, making the textures, making the thread right here, and also give up our time to help out people more than any other just so we can get $30 and split it between about 10 of us? $3 doesn't do much of a good upgrade unless you know any where you can get a 8800GTX top GPU... Please. Think about what you are saying.

Actually, you can't just "ask for help" anywhere. I've tried! The people usually ignore me, or don't teach the right stuff. Plus most people are jerks. The people at Tricky's Tutorials don't help and they are jerks. Also, if you don't have anything good to say here, don't post, damn it!

No offense, but not a lot of people wants to learn from someone who's typing skills are well....not great. For me at least.

Well, i'm still on holiday, but managed to blag an old dutch friends pc to quickly have a look, i'm surprised and sorry that jamie's disappeared, i'll sort it out when i'm back.

Oh, as you guys run a tutorial, I wonder if you could answer something for me quickly: Say I make a really cool creation in multiplayer. How can I save it? I can't seem to work it out.

Gmod automatically updates through Steam. Unless you're running Gmod 9, in which case you're fucked. OR if you're running a pirated copy, I highly suggest you kill yourself. Also, Q opens the full menu, C is just the context menu. I'd also recommend working on your spelling and grammar. And, where can I download the map/gamemode for this? I would like to join, but I hate downloading maps from servers. I can't seem to work it out.[/QUOTE] You would need advanced duplicator to save the contraption from multiplayer. Get SVN wire and it comes with it.

How can i play music on GMOD? I would really appreciate if anyone can give me some assistance. I tried typing MP3 into console but i can;t seem to get the music to play.
