Wow. It's great. Much better than last version. Great Work!!!
Okay, so the two main gameplay issues to address are the psychokinesis whoring, and the spraytards. I can make psychokinesis last for half the time, how about that? As for the spraytards, i had an idea for some sort of anti-spray system... The more you spray, the weaker your shots get. What do you think about that?

There is nothing worse than being a Stalker and coming up against a group of Unit 8 players who are "shotgun spamming" combined with the T6 bullets. All they do is fire off in random directions with no idea what-so-ever of where the Stalker is. It makes playing the stalker frustrating and hiding and sneaking up on people near impossible. A certain amount of spray is acceptable, after all, you're shooting at something you can't really see well, but when this method of mindless spamming is used, it spoils the game for the stalker. Don't get me wrong on this, I use T6 bullets myself, but I prefer to use them in conjunction with the Aug, and if I get a glimps of the stalker, let off a burst in the direction to tag them, then hunt them down with the scope using the radar to point me in the right direction. Much fairer on the stalker and makes for a more enjoyable game experience for them and myself. Perhaps a limitation on Ammo (Such as is used by Hidden) would prevent this style of gameplay, and maybe an anti-camp system that stops Unit 8 players sitting in one place for more than, say, 30 seconds. This should even it out for the Stalker faced with spammers. Also, perhaps a limitation on the number of times (Or the power of) the Telekenisis attacks can be used. Or perhaps limiting it to a prop being thrown in one direction once, rather than having that black whole sort of effect throwing everything around for several minutes. /2_pence :)
What about an Energy system like the stalker's for Unit 8. Their ammo regenerates but slower as they can shoot...would prevent Unit 8 from "shoot spamming".

If you spam too much, your gun overheats and stops working and you have to use the pistol for X minutes. I'd go with that. :)
Actually, i like the idea of "gun mana". Every minute you regenerate one clip or something like that. That way you can still spam shit, but not to the point where it makes it impossible for the stalker to get near you. So if i implement this, it'll have to be like this: -Pistols (glock and deagle) have infinite ammo. This increases their usefulness. -P90 regenerates one clip per minute, and has a maximum of 3 clips. -Spas 12 regenerates 12 shots per minute, holds maximum 30 shots -Steyr Aug regenerates 2 clips per minute, and has a maximum of 3 clips. -Famas-C regenerates 3 clips per minute and has a maximum of 5 clips. Sound fair to you guys? :raise:
Every minute would be a bit... long. Every twenty seconds would definitely be better, that way, it reduces the spam but also allows for reloading when necessary. Also, another thing I noticed was the Famas Damage and the Shotgun Damage. Famas seems to deal a whole bunch more than it should and the shotgun is... horrible. An incentive should be given for using a shotgun, because it is definitely the worst gun of the batch.
I've already begun to balance the guns out. I gave the shotgun 3 more bullets per shot. This makes it much more powerful up close. The famas has more bullet spread now, and slightly weaker bullets. I'm willing to let the time limit slide from a minute to 50 seconds, that's about it though.
I have a short question: Would it be possible to add custom models, and if, would you do it?
I'm not going to add any because i don't want people to have to download an assload of models when they join. However, if someone makes a custom model pack and uploads it to gmod.org, i'll add it to the main page for people to grab. If someone could reskin the knife and stuff that'd be cool.
Couldn't you add these models to the garrysmod.org Stalker Files, but don't force newbies to download it when they didn't download it from garrysmod.org ?

ill host a game on monday, it will not be up all the time mainly because i play other games as well.

Okay i just implemented the whole ammo regenerating thing. EDIT: Okay, glock and deagle now each have 20 clips and they never regain ammo. Which means deagle has 140 shots, glock has 200 shots. I'll give the beta of 1.9 to whoever wants it as soon as i've got it all working nice.
Yes I want. I think these are good values. Yesterday I joined my server, and I know, I installed 1.8 what is also shown in the gamemodeinfo, BUT there appeared old bugs like in 1.5 e.g. the too short reloading time or the tripmines freezing in the air... Please fix it.
Okay, 1.9 beta available for hosts. Tell me if you find glitches. -snip- Changelog: -Props now reset after every round. They get placed where they were when the map loaded. -Hopefully fixed any weapon bugs, tidied the SWEP code up. -Weapons now have limited ammo but regenerate ammo every minute. I may have to tweak this. -Kill icons are now blue, as well as selection icons. -Psychokinesis doesn't last as long now. -Updated radio chatter, added more clips as well as made it automatically play clips at random times. -Tweaked FAMAS and Spas 12 for fairness. -Buffed pistols slightly more.
sweet it is currently 3:12pm on friday and i am hosting a server in stalker V 1.9 Mowing The lawn, server not up yet.
Marvelous. I'll give this a go later on, hopefully the new additions will balance the gameplay a bit more.

Weapons need to regenerate mana a tiny bit faster. As I said before, 50 seconds to 60 seconds is a long time to wait if you hit the stalker and attempt to get him as he runs away. 30 seconds to 45 seconds would be a decent tweak, and I would prefer around 40 seconds. Also, I'm getting this error: "includes/modules/weapons.lua:28: bad argument #1 to 'pairs' (table expected, got nil)" when I'm using the shotgun. I'm not sure if that applies to every gun, but I got it when I started playing. Thanks and great work!
There is a difference between a clip and a magazine. Clip loads magazine. Magazine loads chamber of a gun.
