Okay, i need your guys' opinions. I have 2 anti camping methods:
1. Add a time limit. This would mean there's default 2 minutes, plus 1 extra minute per soldier. (with 8 soldiers you have 10 minutes to kill them all before your health begins to drain at a fast rate)
2. If you sit still for too long as the stalker, you will eventually scream. This will make sitting still a bad thing since it gives your position away.
Which should i implement?
In my opinion, you should implement both of the anti-camping methods.
I'm just one vote, though.
Well, i really like the ammo regeneration but one thing i would suggest is way less shotgun.. it seems to be a bit too much capacity and fast regeneration, and sprayers are still ripe with it...
As for stalker anti-camp i think there should be some sort of mana system of hanging on the walls (yes i played hidden today :( ) because it's not a rip off, but a good idea to stop people just sitting, so say there were 100 points of "time" to grab, and they lost 10 points a second during grabbing and then when they were off a wall the stalker regenerated 5 points every second and if they ran out of points, they would automatically detatch :ninja:
Oh yeah, and custom models didn't solve the weapon model bug, it must have been a week long coincidence :v:
Okay, i'm going to make the SPAS12 only regenerate 6 bullets instead of 12 since it starts out with a fuckton of bullets anyhow.
Also, i'm going to make it so the Stalker can use psychokinesis on [b]live[/b] soldiers. What this will do is make their screen shake, their HUD will go berzerk, and they'll have some cool post processing effects to keep them distracted. This makes camping as a Unit 8 a very bad idea. :v:
As for the wall clinging, i'm going to make it so the Stalker automatically screams if it clings for too long. This will give its position away and make it easy to find. :)

Sechs, if he can possess live soldiers, then the Unit8 should get something in return. Possibly the possessed soldier's screen allows him to track the stalker a bit easier? It isn't fair if there is no exchange.
Also, great work. Balance is on the way.

I don't like the idea of screaming if you sit there too long for 2 reasons.
1: to be a good stalker you have to wait for your moment(E.G. waiting for s stupid lone soldier to come straight into your path or, for soldier to walk past you so you can stab them in the back.)
2: if the people are spraying and your pinned down, you have to camp until they have calmed down and you can make your strike.
but you can still have it I just think the noise should be made after like 90-180 seconds of camping, just to make it abit fair, becuase you are outnumbered 8-1. :)

I'll agree with this. Is it possible to check how concealed your location is?
So you'll scream if you're wallclinging in the middle of the main corridor of the map, but if you're concealed in a dark corner of, say, the bathroom, you can keep quiet for much longer.
And you have a lower chance of screaming the more soldiers there are in your immediate vicinity.
Two things, yes i agree about the pinned down situation but [b]WAITING[/b] is basically camping until an easy oppertunity isn't it?

I could make it check how many soldiers are nearby.
But i really don't think you need to stay in one spot for more than 60 seconds.
The longest i've ever had to stay up on the ceiling was back in 1.7 when people just sprayed the P90 everywhere. That's fixed now so there's no reason to have to cling for more than 60 seconds.
Hmm how about an eye peice (like the ts_specoverlay 5) in the top left corner of your screen that shows the bionic signs of all the unit 8 members?
I think you should put it as 75 seconds, I don't know why it just seen to be a good number for camp prevention.
Something similar to that is already implemented - press your "Flashlight" key as Stalker. It's difficult to navigate in that view, but Unit 8's positions are revealed to you.
Yes. As a stalker you shouldn't ever have to ask where a soldier is. Just press F and you'll be able to see him through walls.
EDIT: Okay i added some cool effects for when you get possessed. You start tripping out and everything around you begins to shake.
I'm going to add some creepy sound effects to accompany it.
No, I mean that eye piece is for unit 8 so all the members know whats happening to their team mates if they get split up, like if they die the line goes from going up and down like a oscilloscope and its green colour to flatline black. Or, if they goto 40-60 hp then its still like green but yellow and the lines don't raise as high, and 0- 40 would be orange but you can hardly seen the lines or they are just above. and 60-80 would be a lighter green and the lines would be slightly below what they used to be and 80-100 would be green and the lines would be normall.
Okay, here's the next beta release.
Additions:
- Stalker will now scream if it stays in the same place for more than 60 seconds. I've tested this and there shouldn't be any reason to have to increase this number. If you sit in the same place for longer than a minute you're a slow-ass stalker.
- Stalker can now right click humans to possess them for 15 seconds. While possessed, soldiers cannot see anything on their radar, and their health/ammo readings go wonky. Additionally, they hear strange voices and their screen gets shakey and trippy.
- Spas12 now only regenerates 6 bullets instead of 12.

Oh you mean a heartbeat trace for each of your team members in the corner, so you can identify the health of your Unit 8 teammates at a glance.
I don't know, while it makes nice eye candy on the HUD, it seems extraneous to me - especially as IIRC medpacks can only heal yourself anyway.
A better idea is a "panic" meter - governed by how often they're spraying bullets, their health, and also dependant on the radio shouts. (both automatic and controlled) That way, you could identify someone who needs backup quite quickly - or control a sprayer better, by negative effects on accuracy, and some post-processing effects (like blur or grayscale/colour fade) at higher panic levels.
I think this stuff is mainly useless. Don't get me wrong, it'd be cool to implement. But honestly, you can already tell if a person is in trouble by the amount of shots they take. If they let loose 3 clips nonstop, you can guess that they're under attack.
You can also check if your teammates are being attacked by pressing F2. If they are under attack, the radio voice will indicate that.
Also, medikits do allow you to heal teammates. You can look at a teammate and it'll tell you their health level. :)
Are you going to use the same voices as in the mod? Those voices are, kind of scary. Though I like the F2 scream the most, when I creep up behind them, I scream in their faces as they die :).

Those ones i believe are from the flamethrower SWEP.
Yeah, well I just think my idea is good for asthetics, I mean wouldn't you want to know if half of your team was wiped out? and sometimes, you die so fast or kill so fast (like me and I do mean the kill so fast, I don't die easily:)) that they have no time for f2.

-You now see corpses on the radar. Wounded teammates will have a flashing color on the radar.
-Lasersights now don't have a beam anymore (it was very ugly). However, your aimer dot turns green when you see a teammate, and the dot grows bigger when you're looking at the stalker. This increases the laser's usefulness by a lot.
-Modified the psychokinesis effect. More blur, less color rape.
-Spectators now can toggle through soldiers by using primary fire. Reloading now makes you free-roam.
-Steyr AUG now starts with only 90 bullets, instead of 120.
-Shotgun regenerates 12 shots now.
-Ammo regeneration time increased to 90 seconds.

and it does also run ZS and sand box but mostly stalker at the moment.
and could you have it that the Stalker as gains health when he kills someone even if it is at full? that would be quite cool

Because Scriptenforcer, being stupid, thinks that you shouldn't be able to play even if you have a few differing files. Instead of ignoring the files, it just kicks you and forces you to go dig up and delete the files.
