holy shit i can't waitt!!!!!! [editline]02:39PM[/editline] boxes please. now.
Box delivery status: Complete.
But then again, it is a Mod. and i dont think they are going to spend millions of dollars just to sell $10 games all over the world
Counter Strike is a mod
A bundle would probably be the only answer, (box including Garry's mod and HL2 or something close to that). But I'm still unsure if that will ever happen.
Counter Strike is a mod
I thought it USED to be a mod? damm you Minh Lee Gooseman.
I thought it USED to be a mod? damm you Minh Lee Gooseman.
Counter-Strike is a mod. Counter-Strike-Source is a game.
The only way it could be sold is if were sold in a combo pack with another valve game. Like the CSS, DOD, HL:DM combo pack.
There's a reason why they don't sell Garry's Mod in stores.
There's a reason why they don't sell Garry's Mod in stores.
I can't be the only person in this thread to ask you one of the 2 following questions; 1. Care to elaborate? 2. Why reply?
I can't be the only person in this thread to ask you one of the 2 following questions; 1. Care to elaborate? 2. Why reply?
Firstly it can't be rated properly as the content is provided by users. And not enforced. Secondly, it is a mod, plain and simple, it RELIES on another game.
i dont rememeber PAYING for a MOD
i dont rememeber PAYING for a MOD
Can you guess what this song implies about the above poster?

what im saying os that gmod is a GAME not a mod silly child
what im saying os that gmod is a GAME not a mod silly child
Garry's Mod?
Op should grow up a few (Propably 6-8) years and get himself his own credit card if his parents are not willing, hl2 and so garrysmod too is a mature rated game.
garrysmod too is a mature rated game.
Nope. Garry's Mod has no rating. A game's rating has nothing to do with the rating of it's dependencies. Also - just because something is rated M doesn't necessarily mean he's not allowed to play it (meaning the COPS don't give a shit, even if the PARENTS do). I was playing Diablo (M rated) since I was 11.
Think of it this way.. The Sims. They made expansion packs for that, why can't it be sold in the same general way?
Considering Gmod is a mod for source, I don't think it will ever happen unless Gmod becomes a standalone game.
You could do bundle deals though, I'm more than sure that valve would make an extra pile of money by selling older games (HL2, EP1, so on) in a bundle with Garry's Mod.
what im saying os that gmod is a GAME not a mod silly child
Haha thanks OP for the laugh, now get back to bed. ONTOPIC: It will never be put into stores as it is being constantly updated and changed.
what im saying os that gmod is a GAME not a mod silly child
Garry's Mod is, well, a MOD, just for the simple reason of it relying on other games for its content.
Garry's Mod is, well, a MOD, just for the simple reason of it relying on other games for its content.
I was about to edit my post to say that, Grrr Mind reading Ninja :ninja:
Bottom Line here: If GMod was packaged onto a disc, Garry would have to pay for the packaging/disc/instruction manual, all that gubbins. In order to keep his profits the same, he would need to increase the retail sale price, which of course is bad for us, the consumer.
Well, they did sell MW2 on disk. The only difference is MW2 isn't a mod.
It isn't? I always thought it was a COD4 mod! Well, at least, it seems that way.
If anything it's a Call of Duty mod, based on the same engine v:v:v
But can't he just increase just the price for buying it physically, and leave the steam price the same? I mean, that's what steam was originally meant for(I think), to sell games at a cheaper price by cutting out all the physical stuff.

This question has been asked since the creation of Gmod. The answer will always be NO.
This question has been asked since the creation of Gmod. The answer will always be NO.
I can imagine someone talking to Garry back in the days when GMod was simply the rope tool and manhack gun and going "lol yuo should tutally sell dis in shops!!!"
OP has disappointed me on so many levels
I can imagine someone talking to Garry back in the days when GMod was simply the rope tool and manhack gun and going "lol yuo should tutally sell dis in shops!!!"
Haha, I wouldn't doubt it.
