I don't know of anyone else who gets this problem. Are you sure that you are choosing the gamemode from the menu and not still playing sandbox.
This looks rather nice, how'd you get the overview to work like that?

I really want to play this but i also spawn in first person, i dont even know if the gamemode is activated.
I just set the gamemode to override and it fixed all my problems.

You could use the aim and Gim positions to tell if there is a wall or prop between them and make it transparent, but I don't know if it's possible to do that with brushes...
EDIT: It may require custom mapping, but if the brushes in the white room in gm_construct can be changed in color and transparency, any brush on any other map should be able to as long as the right keyvalues and entities are tied to them.
The one in gm_construct is not a brush. It it an entity it's a func_something it other and i dont believe you can material it. So either you have just plain color walls or non transparent.
i could honestly host this right now, is it worth it?
