Is there any easy way to update a single file for props, or do I need to delete the outdated version of the file, upload the new version in its own zip, and set the prop to use the new version?
it needs to be in maps/mapname.bsp
That's, like, simple knowledge :/
I mean maybe it's harder for other people to understand, but if I were uploading a map I could've guessed that.
But that's just me, I don't know. It hurts my head trying to figure out how it may be so hard to understand it.
"No not upload files you did not create, or do not have permission to upload. This includes content created by Valve or other companies."
Still typo there, AND:
Does the "This includes content created by Valve or other companies" mean that ports from e.g Fallout 3 is disallowed?
Or, for example a music file that also can be found on youtube?
I uploaded my Fallout 3 G3 Assault Rifle port, if those rules applies to ports too, just remove it
Yes, please clarify, are ports allowed or disallowed?
For some reason, people can't download my map and i can't download other peoples but it is uploaded and i can see it on the toybox page?
I'm not going to ban you for ports, but if the original authors contact me, I'll have to take them down.
Bethesda Softworks is very nice about ports I've heard, so it probably wont be a problem for me
Garry made a port himself! Or isn't Chuck a port?
Does this mean we are allowed to upload ports of models (from different games of course) to Toybox? It says to not upload things you didn't create. I didn't create the models itself, but only the port. Does this still count as your own content in Toybox? I don't want to get banned. :frown:
I wouldn't mind uploading my ports to Toybox.

Alright thanks. Going to move my stuff to Toybox now.

Chuck I think is from a non-Valve game, so yeah, it's a port.

Don't you mean "Do not" not "No not".
Could I suggest that you add a "Gamemodes" section to the mapping uploads?
Added
You're BRILLIANT.

It's a bug, but no one seem to want to hear and see it or even to fix it.

It always times out when you try to upload some thing, when it takes to long to upload.
Getting a faster Internet can fix it, but not everyone can get a upload that is higher than 100 kb/s.
You also can get this problem on garrysmod.org, but it takes longer to timeout there.
Ok, I divided it for few parts. It's ok. Anyway thanks for reply :)
Uploading divided zips works on Toybox?
Are there any plans to add dependency support? So that toybox would require someone to have a game installed (like Counter Strike Source), or another pack (like Wire) before they can install addons that work like that?
I'm trying to upload my map to the site. I have the bsp file in gm_apartment.zip-->Maps-->GM_Apartment.bsp, but I get this error when I go to cloudscripts, my maps, status-
You have no map in your content, how can you release a map without a map!
And then under it-
Make sure you OWN the map before you make it Live. If you don't, you risk having your Steam account banned from ToyBox permanently.
It's also pretty nice to include map icons with your map, to make it prettier in the start game menu.
Well, I own this map, have been working on it for a while, its 110% mine!!! Maybe because there is another map on the site called GM_Apartment?
Why not make it so people can group props/sweps/sents
And when SWEPS are grouped they can use bases
also make it so you can upload effects and entities that can be added as content for SWEPS
Im still annoyed I cant make gun muzzle flashes or explosion effects

No,not toybox weapons bases,we would get EVEN MORE 5 seconds sweps.
You can make muzzle flashes as effects and then including them directly in the weapon's sourcecode you know.
You can use effects.Register(EFFECT,"effectname") and scripted_ents.Register(ENTITY,"entityname",true) to register your custom entities/effects directly when the weapon will be downloaded/executed
was a frank west ragdoll ever on toybox?
Bumped, so I might as well ask what I wanted to ask a while back.
Would it be possible to upload .pcf files that work with sweps, sents, or maps?
I understand that the problem with uploading them is that you have to reload the map in order to use new particle effects, but is there a way around this?

I think it is on there now.
