Dude, the whole perpose of this new rule is to make an absolutly positive enviroment for creative people to share there creation's and to send positive feedback such as:what they can improve, what could make it better, and what could be added to make it look nicer. Thats the hole point of this new rule. And I completly support it as I think it has the potineal to accomplish whats its ment to do.

Trollers will troll, Flamers will flame, There is no stopping them. The new system just makes it harder for legit people to download things. It's like gun control laws, criminals are still going to get guns, legally or not. But in Garry's position I guess I could understand why he did it. Too many damn 12 year olds. I am going to succumb to this new system because I'm having withdrawal symptoms from not downloading from garrysmod.org
What has the community to say of this? I for one think this way: On the good side, no more trolls. Then again, they weren't much of a problem anyways. The downside? No critique or criticism, or other vaguely negative comments- no more pointing out that nobody downloads crummy "Kill Breen" saves- and, with that, no more stopping the flood of crap uploads with which the site has been plagued. Oh yes- and no negative comments against this rule and its scary red text, either. Because I got blocked for speaking out against it. This is the internet, dagnabbit- I don't care how much of a troll people seem to think I am. Just look at this garbage: Above conversation was in response to a "Manhack jellyfish reskin". And now I can't even respond to this idiot; talk about a bummer. In truth, I don't think me not being able to comment is a very big deal, but that's not exactly what I'm talking about here. It's not about what this rule does- it's what it says. "Sugarcoat everything you say," it states, "and don't bother being at all constructive or critical- or else you're a troll and ought to be banned". Well, blocked or not, I don't think I'm going to stand for this- I think I'm entitled to leave my opinion, and no amount of red text is going to prevent me from doing so.
This sounds like Nazi Germany and Garry is Hitler.
This sounds like Nazi Germany and Garry is Hitler.
that would explain why garry hates me
that would explain why garry hates me
Then he considers you as a jew?
Then he considers you as a jew?
Or at least the analog for a jewish person in his world.

Only thing is, what about the stuff about which there's nothing good to be said? Specifically, that which makes up the bulk of things uploaded? And what about when kids who upload things take critique to personally and it starts a flame-war, even though all that was said was meant to be constructive? I've seen that before- a pile of flames in response to some guy who was just politely pointing out how something could've been improved. Someone apparently friends with the uploader took it as an attack and retorted childishly, and a spat spanning several posts ensued.
