When I first got Garry's Mod, I went to a NoX server on a train station map. In that map people were killing themselves on the stairs. This created the illusion of them falling... I knew I was going to like this game.
First thing I did was joined a server and gawked at people back them who knew how to use VMFLoader and VMF related stools, firing off ent_fire triggers to open and close doors.

Back in my day we didn't have PHX and svn, Noclip was just a dream, and building things was somewhat of a challenge. Not saying some stuff isn't still today, but it has become much easier.
i went on flatgrass and tried to figure out how to move (new to fps at time) i opent the spawnmenu and was like where the fuck is phx and wire and spacebuild

I made a minigun that crashed my game :v:
i tried to pose ragdolls for a bit.

made a box out of PHX stuff, didn't weld the pieces properly, and it got all screwed up. . I tried to enter the box and it killed me!
Made a hoverball-container with thrusters that could transport me around gm_construct, the only bad part I had not yet discovered the magic of chairs and would fall off If I went too fast.

I tried to send a combine elite to the moon in a bathtub.
Installed wiremod because people told me it was awesome and it was, only problem was that I sucked and the only things I could make was the stuff I found on tutorials.

Spawned a Dropship ragdoll halfway through the ground, and then spawned a Zombie which I did not know how to get rid of.

spawned a metrocop and killed him
then spawned 3 metrocops and killed them
then spawned 50 combine soldiers and 50 rebels and watched them fight
it got boring after 30 seconds so i went in and killed everyone
and i continued to do this for a good 2 hours
then i got bored joined a random build server and spawned a jeep and welded turrets and thrusters to it and challenged ppl to a race

i tried to make Alyx dropkicking Breen into a mass of antlions on one of the coastal HL2 maps.
I pressed "Play SinglePlayer"
Spent nights using the easy weld tool to weld together fridges and washing machines to make giant masses of glitching, colliding, and floating household appliances that killed you on contact.
Then I discovered thrusters and nukes.
Thread resurrection by 15 hours.
I got a Mario model pack and made silly poses with 'em, I also made a silly desktop BG with the Spy and Barney airboat racing.

Yeah, me too. Never knew that I had to press E since I didn't see any tutorials and I never played HL2 when I first got the game, lol :D
