I played in construct for a long time, then moved onto some RP servers, then moved up to real gamemodes. Pretty much the only thing I've been playing in the last few months is TTT.
Raged about how slowly it started.
Spent an hour trying to figure out how to work the wheel tool.
Went onto mp and missing textures and models everywhere.

Spawned G-Man, took about an hour to kill him with a pistol, spawned a bathtub, put him in it, attached balloons, and sent him to the moon.

I spawned 100 stargates and connected them to each other.
It lagged the hell out of my computer.

About half a year later after getting gmod I played Noxiousnet, and some build servers, I was trying to figure out how to make motor constraints.
Downloaded small island map, built small wooden tower right next to tree, spawned rebels to there and made combine attack that place. Rebels always ran into bunker because of helicopter.
I tested all the weapons, I never tried HL2 before.
I used the NPCs as test subjects, trying each weapon on each of the NPCs
When I got to testing the Antlion guard, I almost peed myself.
A rocket wouldn't kill it.
A Combine ball wouldn't kill it.
So I tried shooting balloons at it, that didn't work.
I made an explosive barrel trap for it, consisting of 200 barrels.
It crashed my game once the Antlion guard triggered it.
made i flying bucket that killed me several times
Found out that there was unlimited sprint even though cheats were off. :v:
I also remember putting a load of balloons on a Jeep and going around Bigcity in it.
I sometimes still do stuff like this, just because I can.
I spawned a Companion Cube and Chell and smashed Chell into the companion cube.
...made a zombie survival add on...

Long story short, new-player knowledge made no help. I failed.

I had first saw Gmod on the channel TechTV. Was V3 and they were showing a car made out of a bathtub and saw blades. I immediately went and downloaded the mod since I owned hl2 already. First thing I did was make a car out of various props. Back then there were no addons of anykind which made it hard to make complicated contraptions.
Don't even fucking remember. The first thing I do remember doing was making a functioning car by nocolliding a pod into a car model and attaching wheels and thrusters to it. This was in fucking v7
Back in 9.0.4 I just flung Gman around some Counterstrike map, playing with the physgun. I don't know how, but it was amazing at the time.
