DarkRP is framed as a "Deathmatch Fest" Because the way is designed is "Get a job>Get money>AFK>Buy guns>DM" Because guns are useless in a CITY RP. It isn't designed so the players may focus on ther things like passive RP, developing of a character and friendship, etc. But i see some post like " IS the RPers,not the gamemode". Well, if you are a good roleplayer, you can have one of the most pleasant RPs with DarkRP. But people that join and begin to DM are kids with the concept of "lol is the internetz, nobody can get meh, olololol" "lol, i keel u, i am 1337". So, as you see, DarkRP have a lot of problems, the gamemode itself, and the RPers

Well, I think Dark RP is RP in theory, but not in practice. Go on any server, you'll just find uncontrolled mayhem, with various dickheads running around shooting at you, breaking stuff, etc. However, it does have its uses. Sometimes, I've found that I can't be bothered spending hours on the intelligent, passive, sometimes painful roleplay of the more serious servers, (e.g. TnB, Stalker RP, etc.) Sometimes, I just want to do something simpler, something quicker to get into, something easier to obtain. I mean, in DarkRP, anyone can be a Metrocop. In TnB, not everyone can join Civil Protection. Also, DarkRP's lack of control can actually provide a level of creativity often lacking within the more serious servers. The other day for example, I was playing DarkRP, when I wandered into a Warehouse to discover a Nazi Church, complete with Swatzikas. You would be hard pressed to find something this strange in Serious RP, or this easy to create. In short, DarkRP isn't serious, but it's still worth having.

Blueprint RP in Kuromekus server is awesome, and those little discussions that rarely happen make you want to play it over and over again. You go outside and just one. Just one wrong step and you're maybe detained for hours. That's hardcore, and maybe one of the best servers i've been to. But Dark RP is a good try. I had 7 pleasant hours playing on a private server with my firends, just the 7 of us. It was fun, but we got bored, booted the server so it would be public and BOOM. Mingebags started appearing, propblocking, RDM:ing and shit. So. You get best results by making it private and having about 10 people with you there that are decent, are not minges, and have even a little RP skill. This has worked for me so far.

Really, i'm pissed off. Like 90% of all facepunch users hate DarkRP (After my reading on the forums) If theres an DM'r, kick/ban/ask admin for help. Just roleplay. Build a house, get food for your fridge. The gamemode is quite fun if everybody is RP'ing, and most of the people that are saying that RP is deathmatch heaven and shit, are probably DM'rs themself. This post will get disagreed alot, but i don't give a s***, if you want to rant about DarkRP, this is not the forum for it. Period.

Dark RP is sometimes awesome, sometimes terrible. Gangsters aren't all about shooting cops if the mob boss is good, and they can be. Dark RP is very customizable, just change it around if you don't like it.

They stop selling servers to 8yr old retards and actually sell them to mature adults who get a license to actually have one. Then Newman could enforce a backbone by make some sort of elite facepunch mod organization that goes to servers and perma bans nooby dmers,8yr old admins,all that shit from Gmod and Facepunch permanently. The tools for hosting a server are all freely available for anyone's use, and hosting companies sell the servers. The server owners sell admin on their server, and give it out to any 8 year old whose parents will pay for it.
