RP sooner or later is going to get replaced by something else.
It really just got so boring because it usually turns out to be the same old crap.

RP will never be replaced. And its not boring. Its shit. It got turned into shit because all the people that were actually good at roleplay, all the people that took time and effort to develop their characters, scripts, maps, and communities. Those people left, and you know why they left? Because all the dumbasses like those in DarkRP and such joined.
First, this bugs me: Your server's named after an Italian dessert.
Second, roleplay shouldn't have been refereed to the way it is in the first place. When the players on my server do what's considered role play, literally, it's not some crazy ass economy, with money for props, jails, but more server moderation, except for fun. It's hard to describe, but people get into it, without it being a 'roleplay' or a community made out of it - just a simple little thing to do to waste time.
I think it would be more effective if rather than being open ended, have different areas fighting or trying to do something. In other words, imagine Half Life 2 if every resistance member was trying as hard as they could to take down the combine, not just fueling Dr. Freeman and helping him go along.

I agree that most of the old guys are gone, but some do remain and run their communities just as usual. It's just that the servers are more often than not clogged up with mingebags.

Actually, no, my server, community and the like is called Bliss. Tiramisu is the script, since essentially, it's a fancier Cakescript.
The real solution for "RP" is for it to have a storyline. No more HL2RP servers, no more Real Life, just ones with either original storylines, or derivatives of other works. Only way it can be enjoyable, really.
