However I would only use them if you arn't a rookie server owner because at present you have to do a fair bit manually as they have only recently got into gmod. I imagine this will improve overtime. My customer experience has been outstanding as I have both a support agent and one of the directors on steam. I've also been advised that their slot limit for their boxes are very low. My experiences with hosts that I've purchased dedicated servers from; "Hi, yeah we offer 35+gbps ddos protection" - I'm attacked with about 1gbps ddos attack and my server is offline for hours, or even days. Basically the story of my GMod life.

I would definitely recommend Zellion Hosting for Australians. Been with them for ages, they're a great company considering Australian hosting is quite expensive they offer good prices too. I agree with Steeze about Wombat Servers too.

The only game server hosting that I've actually purchased from and not been attacked on has to be Nitrous Networks. The only problem with Nitrous Networks is the horribly slow support that they offer. Waiting for ticket replies is a nightmare.

Everything looks professional, however the support seems to be operates by one guy who has either school or a job. We had loads of problems with FTP where it refused to delete files, we could only upload 1 file and the 2nd file would time out and we waited a week wothout them resolving it. After contacting their chat I got told "We put tickets we can not resolve on hold", meaning, no reply is given until they have fixed the issue, leaving the client clueless. Top notch support right therr, by guys who definitely know what they are doing :v:

It's a shame really - very rare to actually find a non-expensive host that do offer proper ddos protection.

We rented a few boxes from NFO for Amped until we left OHV as a first time user at NFO, but the switch was the best thing for us. We had gotten reports from customers getting hit with DDOS attacks even on the OHV network, but after the switch we haven't received a DDOS that didn't get blocked by NFO. NFO really lives up to the hype.
