A distributed denial-of-service attack. Sends thousands of connection requests to a website or IP address from multiple networks, potentially crashing the server.

Oh no, I am just pretty strict with everything. It's fun to build things with friends and strangers, but once in a while people tend to act like an asshole by flaming at people in which case I quickly ban them permanently without warning.
One time one of the banned guys added me and got my ip by voicechat thing (I didn't know you could the ip that way back then) and dossed me for 10 minutes or something. He first dossed for like a few minutes and when he stopped, he replied ten times with "umad". I just simply removed him from my friendlist without saying anything. It went on for like 5 more minutes and then he stopped. I assume it's just not fun dossing people when you can't see their reactions.

There are a few ways you can TRY to stop DDoS attacks although most DoSer's user indirect IP's which may be hundreds to thousands at their disposal like another poster said above.

- Reconsile with the attacker, apologize and hope to god that works.
- Ask your Server-Host to install something on your server that will help in any way
- Ask Your Server-Host to keep an eye on your server and block all incoming attack IP's
- Dont talk shit to begin with.
- Pack up and move to a different server hoster that will give you added protection.
(Not Xenon-Servers)
