Need help with buying a server - Garry's Mod

While any reputable host which costs 1/2 as much does 5 times better. Almost every other host does this and always has, any decent host will do this and AoWC advertises it as pretty much their selling point because the only selling point they have is that their support is intelligent enough to use ftp and put a bsp file in /map for you from a website.

I just host my own server on a dedicated machine in my basement :P Seriously, it's not hard to do, and it runs just as well. If I wanted webspace, I'd just host that too. 100% control never hurt anyone.

Go with Xenon Server or Brohoster,

Xenon is as low as it gets. I can't say anything about AoWc because I never heard of them. However a friend of mine had used Xenon before, and it worked very well. Although, if what I'm hearing about AoWc is true... :aaaaa:

I own a server from Xenon, and there is barely any lag at all. If there is any lag its a connection issure not the server. GamerzUnlimited and Xtream-Host's gmod servers are only $.50, or thats what Gmod Wiki says.

I host any server I want on a great company called "My dedicated quad core server," it has a 20mbps (up & down) connection with 15ms ping. and dirt cheap at $0 per slot. Just because the price's low doesn't mean you don't get great support though, and I have great control over my servers. A lot of other companie won't let you upload DLLs and stuff, but this one does, so I can upload everything I need. It's a pretty great company, you should check them out.

That's why GSPs exist.

Go with Xenon. Daxter is a great guy and helps you with anything. Servers run perfectly. Bro to Bro stick with Xenon.
