Woot, servers up and downloading the files for it via ingame atm. I spent some time exploring the maps alone and was just amazed by them by that. If gameplay lives up to it's name via the feedbacks and pictures and videos, then I definitely have indeed made the best tough decision of purchasing the game just for this :3 (this said coming from a typical Star Wars fan though :x)
Indeed ... HOLY SHIT @e Downloading shitz 1gb downloaded and still goin :< how much is it :3 ?
It's a shame this isn't more popular
Indeed ... HOLY SHIT @e Downloading shitz 1gb downloaded and still goin :< how much is it :3 ?
As I'm sure you know now, the download is around 1.7gb. The upside to this is that obviously you're going to see very little (if any) content that could relate to Half Life, Counter Strike, etc. It really is like playing a completely different game for the most part.
It's amazing this is still around, excellent work.
Nice idea for a server, will have to try it sometime.
Just saying, the welcome page is saying its version 2.1.4 so yeh; mos mesric station wont direct you to community naboo ; connection failed , when i can find it in server browser
Interesting; thanks for letting me know!
Yeah, Ive been playing for about three weeks now. Thanks for the new addiction lol. By the way, how do I update the SVN content? The recent update wont let me pay on Mesric or the ISD Scourge... :O
Snake;29297437']Yeah, Ive been playing for about three weeks now. Thanks for the new addiction lol. By the way, how do I update the SVN content? The recent update wont let me pay on Mesric or the ISD Scourge... :O
Hey Snake. No problem, glad to have you with us! To update your SVN content you'll just want to navigate to your addons folder and then right click the "Star Wars Sagas" folder (where you should have checked your SVN out to) and click "SVN Update" or something along those lines. It should update your content with the latest map files, models, etc. Let me know if you have further problems and I'll try my best to help.
Thanks alot. Cant wait to see the new Mesric.
Latest In Development Hey guys - first off thanks to everyone who's supporting this and has been playing on the servers. Activity's been picking up slightly on weekdays and is picking up a lot more over weekends recently. Hopefully as word spreads and more updates get pushed out, we'll just see this awesome community continue to grow. I've got a couple updates that you all might be interested in so read on! Mission Terminals Dynamically generated, level scaled missions! Players of Star Wars Galaxies will recognize this instantly. The basic premise is that players are able to undertake randomly generated missions scaled to around their (or your squad's average) level, allowing them to gain experience and credits even if they've already done all of the available 'regular content' in their level range. Each generated mission has an in-depth background story, and there's a good chance you'll never go on exactly the same mission twice. Currently, the only type of missions available are "Destroy" missions, where you must travel and locate an enemy "lair" and destroy it. Be careful, as lairs have guardians, and attacking the lair will no-doubt alert them to your presence. Check out this 3 minute preview of Mission Terminals: http://www.xfire.com/video/4583e0 Combat Experience Overhaul Better Formulas, Better Scaling I've finally completed a total overhaul of combat experience gain. The formulas for both XP required and XP gained from mobs have been completely reworked to allow for a gradual difficulty curve at higher levels, but an easier curve at lower levels. These changes will feel ALOT like most MMO's on the market today pace-wise. I have built in a system that *should* automatically convert your characters over to the new experience system, retaining their current level, upon their next log in so that no one will lose anything. That's all I've got for now. Happy Easter everyone!
