I really want to use floodmod but I think im going to have to drop it if I cant solve this.
Ask find me perhaps? He is the original author :/, too bad he dropped the script. But there are always assholes out there, willing to bring a great gamemode down.

It looks like Boeing boeing pretty much rewrote and revised this whole script so its not gonan help much.

I was actually able to contact BoingBoing on steam chat, thank goodness he isn't an ass to get started on old gamemodes like other creators. Maybe I can ask him the question, he is very helpful.

Thats good! Floodmod was one and is my favorite gamemode. Its just fun no bs.

This FloodMod is old.
when i launch flood mod the time stops "build a boat".

Guys anyone know how to limit specific props,e.g wooden poles allot of people use them to make very long and unbeatable boats so like limit them to 8 or something.I have tried using UPPL but it does not work with floodmod.
You need to have more than one person in floodmod to get the timer to continue. And make sure are configuring UPPL correctly, and that you have the updated SVN versions of ULib and Ulx installed.
it still will not work,this is because for some strange reason all the spawned props do no appear in ULX log,so I am guessing floodmod has some different way of spawning props and thats why uppl wont work.
Well... I think BoingBoing has given up on floodmod, so im afraid you may be out of luck. Wouldn't you think that more props = more money, getting better weapons?
Yes,but think of that when people make cheap boats out of poles and they are unbeatable thats unfair in the game.I want to restrict certain props or limit them so people start making varied boats not just out of poles.
Well, I believe the objective of the game is to simply knock them off of their boat, so if it is made entirely out of poles, you should have no problems at all.

Sounds like you may be playing in a custom server. Last time I checked, it was elimination styled, where last man standing wins. That is, last man alive. :S

You can decompile a pre made flood map, then observe how it is made so you can make your own. Heck, that is the intention of most decompilers :)

the main issue here is the fact that people see "Flood 1.2" and think "Oh, free workign good version of flood mod!! ima download and then figure out how srcds works!"
