It is good to see a more rational discussion on this matter :) I do think that the first thread (which was just someone looking for a good UK hoster) did derail hugely. However I am afraid I am still against GTXGaming; No matter where their hardware is hosted from. Primarily just because of what arguments have been raised when it comes to the support offered by their company, and how utterly Un-Professional and rude they were when it came to that support ticket (I understand it is just one support ticket, out of probably hundreds or thousands sent in to that company, and I don't assume that they handle most of their tickets like that, but there is no excuse for how it was handled...)
And if there is now a staff member from GTXGaming looking at this discussion, I will like to see how they can defend their behaviour when it came to that customers situation.
Nope. No ISPs in Britain give out static IPs. Virgin Media is the closest you can get; generally they change once every 3 months or something like that.
Plus.net and Be Internet both provide static IPs.
I find the way Matt responded to this sad.
He called me a troll, lied about me constantly harassing his staff and left the thread without giving any serious answer....
Never buy from GTX Gaming, Worst host, Oh and I now know that "Jason Orange" and "Matt" are both the same person. He's pretending to be two people for some reason, Probably making his "Host" look popular and busy.
I'd say the worst host is UKgame.com as they were trying to code an svn thing to work on an Linux server so they could transfer my gmod server to it, but it took them fucking ages so I switched to GTX

UKGame is bad. But based on the "GTXGaming sucks" ticket.. well, if I had to choose between one or the other I would probably go to UKGame.
gtxgaming, why haven't you made a public apology to Xenoyia v2 for the way that ticket was handled? Specifically the "no wonder people were hacking your server, your not a very nice person" comment.
Lol, hi this is Matt from GTX, this is awesome advertising your giving us here. Randi i knew you were a troll we have your ip and you have come on many times and tried to annoy the staff. Hence you were treated as a troll.

Matt

"we have your ip"
Sounds like "we got ur ip, i am going to hack you lol"
GTXGaming sucks bro it took them 5 days to setup a server with the wrong OS and CPU... We told them that and they started to rage at ticket support...
I found GTXGaming not bad, I used their service for 5 months and never had any serious problems. Whenever I did have a problem however it was promptly sorted by one of the "support guys".
I never had any problems with them and my ping usually remained around 60-80. I would recommend them to a friend and have already done so.
I would rate their service 7.5/10.
I must of just got lucky thought I don't really know I thought it was good.
At least Matt can spell "mitigation" properly. Migration is something completely different.
