What's the simplest thing you didn't know how to do in GMod? - Garry's Mod

I thought props had to be touching to be welded

Being new at the time, I was told I could be in a youtube vid, playing a monor role as a guy who would just spawn some crap, and pile it up. Plus, the server had anti-Prop protection, so you could pick up and mess with other people's crap. I was sopossed to stack my props behind a wooden hut. Contents of pile: 5 wooden crates 20+ small props. FIVE EXPLOSIVE BARRELS 1 baby doll. Lets just say when those UNFROZEN (Yes, my props had to be unfrozen, for a car crash into it later), I hit a barrel too hard, and it destroyed most of the wooden hut, and and broke the 'debrie' peices* off a car. The video never was published. *Facepalm* *The debrie peices, were disquised wooden parts on a hand made car, for example glass and doors, which would smash opon impact.

Lets see... The most fucked up thing I did was ask"WHAT THE FUCK IS NOCLIP?!?!?!?!".

I didn't know how to freeze props, or ragdoll body parts, in mid-air with the physGun.

I didnt know about the Admin Settings in Single Player. Also, i didnt know about shift+e.

I did not know how to undo thing I kept using the remover tool

How to rotate objects with the Physgun, and how to pose ragdolls without needing to use the Nail tool.

Tried to download svn addons file by file on web browser.

Didn't know how to rotate, freeze, noclip, or use the scroll wheel to move props. [editline]03:43PM[/editline] Wait, you can use Shift+E to rotate by angles?!?!? That will make my Gmod life easier.

"Why the fuck does everyone make shit out of errors?" Took me a week of MP to figure out they were models, and a week after that to figure out that SVN was the primary distribution of stuff. I already knew how to use it, but still.

I didn't know how to spawn props. And I kept annoying people by asking them "How do you spawn a damn prop?" Since they didn't answer I took someone else's prop and slammed it into them. And I got banned off a server with the reason, "Mingebag" :V

I quickly adapted, but I never knew about SHIFT+E in my early days.

I got in gmod9 I just randomly downloaded it. So I was in a CSS map. I was just there walking, I didn't know what the point was. Then I got raged and pressed all buttons and saw a menu popping up and going away. I was like, WTF? Then I met Q :)

Another thing. I got shocked when I realized the physgun's beam could extend/retract. And visually bend. X/...

The simplest thing I couldn't figure out was buttons and doors, I was used to wiremod buttons, having watched tutorials for them and didn't get normal buttons/keypads atall, I had to ask like six people before I was told what to do with it. <.<

About 5 months ago I downloaded gmod 9 and I did not know how to extend and retract the physic gun beam. And I did not know how to spawn props. Now I have gmod 9 and gmod.

With the camera, I didn't know you could right click and drag the camera around, zoom in and stuff...

Only simple thing that I didn't know how to do in Gmod was the right click function of the axis tool. I didn't know how to move, I unbound all my commands with the first addon I installed. I went all like : [b]'What the hell!? Did I pay 10 bucks for nothing!'[/b]

I couldn't 45 degree snap thing. I didn't know it was shift + E XD

i didnt knew the undo key i spawned like 5000 antlion guards and i was sad :( (i knew of all due to watching tutorial vids) [editline]11:40PM[/editline] except undo key ofcourse

I didn't know that the mouse wheel can extend and contract the prop from you.

I couldn't use Weld easy.
