didnt know that if u dont no colide everything on a big mobile base and sent it to the other side of the map with the phys gun it would take a seizure all over the place.
lol X infinity
I didn't know how to save locally in advanced duplicator.
I didn't know how to freeze ragdolls or rotate items.
using gcombat
When I used the "weld" tool i would use it at if i really was welding something.
e.g If I was welding two boxes together i would do at least 4 welds,
welding each corner thinking that would make a difference.:v:
That is like Ball Socket ;D
Thought I had to enable cheats to noclip.
"Who keeps putting minge in a bag and why is everyone worried? On an unrelated note, who keeps smashing stuff?"
ballsocket.......
i got very confused with the q menu because everything on it didnt make any sence at the time
also, before I had gmod I saw war of the servers and thought that i could just fly to other servers so I ended up taking about an hour on one server to make a plane. In the end i ended up crashing into a wall and got called a retard
I thought multiple welds on one prop made it stronger...
And I didn't know how to shift-e props.
me 2 i spent a full min sumtimes just trying to weld all the stuff...
I didn't know how to rotate objects with the physgun.
I didn't know how to make hologram follow you and face the way you look in Expression2!
can you believe that?
What's a hologram?
I dont know how to make a hologram :saddowns:
The thing that I constantly find myself teaching others and the thing I learned first was how to properly weld stuff together.
I cannot imagine building things using the "slam stuff against a wall or ram it into other props" method.
Didn't know how to weld. (Not Easy Weld).
Oh mah! Me too! :S
probably understandable, but I didnt know about right clicking the camera tool to make it track an object till only recently and ive had gmod for a year and a week exactly =D
Camera's FOV-setting
I actually learned about Shift=E in this thread
I used to randomley press buttons to get into noclip.
I didnt know that the num pad had any think to do with the one with the tools.
didn't know about shift+e for years..
what does shift e do? honestly, no joke. what does it do? had gmod 6 months
hydraulics
..How to use buttons. Yeah, normal ones, the ones that emit your numpad. :( I tried roping them to things and all sorts!
what does shift e do? honestly, no joke. what does it do? had gmod 6 months
it moves the object by angles and makes way easier to turn somethink with precision... obs.: its used holding a object with a physics gun
It took me a short and frustrating while to think to right click to freeze props.
Mikfoz!
:smug:
i didnt know how to noclip :/ lol
"Where the fuck is the q menu?"
This.
oh god i had no clue how to open the context menu when i first got gmod. i had to facepose and fingerpose through a little crack between the context menu and spawnlist by holding down q the whole time.
It actually used to.
I tried to make a tripwire, with a rope.
Oh yeah? Wow thats cool, Garry should add back the multiple welds feature (as soon as he fixes the saves -_-)
The dumbest thing that i did when i first got gmod, was not knowing how to get to the q menu, that made it awkward online. "Hey buddy? Where's the Q Menu??" "Gee, i wonder..."
