Pardon me for finding roleplaying as a tribesman, a gladiator, or some passive only roleplaying themes a bit boring/stupid.
Then you aren't looking for RP. Throughout the thread, you have given hints to what you want. And to me, you want a normal First Person Shooter Death Match, but without having the shooting every second, so you have time to prey on the weak/unwilling to fight. Stick With DarkDM, or actually join a Deathmatch server. RP is ROLE PLAY: That means, doing both the boring, and exciting parts of life. And second off, what the fuck are you saying being a Gladiator or Tribesman are boring? You are either fighting in an arena against others, or surviving against opposing tribes, or killing animals for food. That isn't boring. Problem is, anything without modern guns is boring to you, and that is why you would be better off just a player, rather than a server owner.
Just because my preferences differ from your own does not give you any right to insult me. I was not looking for a serious roleplay atmosphere in the first place, which is why I picked Phase Four. You act as if I hate serious rp, which is actually the polar opposite. And I cannot fathom how roleplaying themes such as the 80's can be even relatively appealing. You seem to make a point of hating everything that has been done before. Phase Four, amongst the other gamemodes I've stated I enjoy, do not simply involve mindless shooting. You can easily passive roleplay in your factions base, enjoying the peace while in the back of your mind you fear the time comes that another battle is at hand. All you want to do is tell me to run a server that has never been done before, which to your dismay and rage, I don't have a particular taste for. As for theme's you've suggested such as 'WWI', and other wars, I can't see what you can do for roleplay, as you'd be constantly battling and when passive roleplay was available it'd be short. I also don't appreciate you saying that I am unfit to own a server on the pure bias that I don't like what you like. So instead of consistently forcing your preference for olden-times never-been-done roleplay themes, try to understand that some people like the tried and true.

You say it so much: You're idea of real RP is "fear the time comes that another battle is at hand". Even your passive RP is about combat. You just want a combat server. You want deathmatch with the mask of RP. Passive RP to you is getting ready to fight against a rival faction, and active RP is shooting people. So when do opening a shop, visiting a friend, and such like that, come into play? That's Roleplay. Roleplay isn't spending half the time killing people. If you want deathmatch, go play a deathmatch server, that has "hardcore" playing. (tactics and shit like that)
Obviously you have not read anything I said in that post. It's not that I don't like roleplay without action, it's that you fail to understand that I had never been wanting to host a serious roleplay server. In absolutely no non-serious servers has passive roleplay, aside from chit-chat and planning things, taken place. You refuse to believe that I am not running a serious server, and you even reject the idea of somebody not liking gamemodes that have never been done before. Had I wanted to host a serious roleplay server, this conversation would be different. However, that is not the case, and I'd appreciate it if you'd understand what I am saying and stop insultingly drown out what I say with your constant comment illustrating me as a person who only likes deathmatch. It's apparent that all you want to do is force your opinion on me as you blatantly ignore my protests and continue to preach about passive roleplay and themes that have never been used.
Not being serious RP DOES NOT mean you can't roleplay passively. At this point, I don't know what you want. You complain to us because no one wants to play on your generic server, and then get mad when I try to help you actually get players. No one is going to play as-is except for the occasional mingebag.
That's true, but you make a point of your desire to enforce a large amount of passive roleplay, which is not what I was going for. All I wanted was a server that you could roleplay in, but not do so constantly, and not be forced to /me every action and passively roleplay constantly opposed to chit-chat. I'm quite fine with passive roleplay, and have done it frequently on non-serious roleplay servers, but you have to emphasize it and force it down my throat. You have passed the point of 'helping' a long time ago, you are now just trying to force your opinions on to me without any regards to what I want. Why would I own a server for the pure purpose of it having players? I want to have fun as well.

No one said anything about /me'ing everything. In fact, I never even said it had to be serious. The point is, it doesn't have to be centered around guns to be fun. You can still have fun killing people with spears and such. Again, the point is, no one is going to play if it isn't unique, and everything you want has been done before.
It's just that aside from maps and content being a issue, due to most people having a severe lack of history knowledge, what are they supposed to talk about aside from killing the shit out of each other? It's just the same thing I'd like but using a older theme.
And people will play the same gamemode as long as it's special, ie; custom content and things such as titles. Which is why I need a lua coder. You have officially turned what you had started as help into a big shit-fest argument, which I am through with. If you have nothing to say but your thoughts on how horrible I am for enjoying modern times, zombies, surviving post apocalyptic wastelands, and how that evidently does not include passive roleplay in your eyes, please leave me alone.

Man, I've always wanted to do one of these. I actually tried to do a 1940's Mafia sort of thing, that failed lol.
With the help of my new friends we may be able to customize Phase Four.
First thing on the list is a custom HUD. Any ideas? :P
seems like the server is down
Indeed, it just happened. No idea what's going on.

Possibly DDOS'd or something like that?
Don't know anybody that would want to DDoS me.
I might come and start playing.
I might come and start playing.
I would love that, but for whatever reason the server won't load when on Phase Four.
I would love that, but for whatever reason the server won't load when on Phase Four.
And this is why you don't use Phase Four.
Worked fine before, and I had changed absolutely nothing before this started occurring. At any rate, I'm looking for a Tiramisu schema. And don't you get started again on all that never-been done nonsense. >_>

You're supposed to custom make schemas, those usually work better, and let you change what you want to change.
Check with your host. Might be updating or something similar.
Host isn't the issue, it just won't load Phase Four anymore, which is odd because I hadn't edited it and I was playing on it when it went down the drain. As for Tiramisu, I do want a custom made schema. I would love to have a serious roleplay Tiramisu server. I'm trying to find somebody who will help me with a schema, as I have no Lua coding experience or knowledge.

I thought you said you didn't want a Serious Tiramisu Roleplay?
Nope. I'd be fine with one, excited even. I played on that popular fantasy rp Tiramisu server and it looks really cool. Just need a coder.

All the previous argument was about how you didn't want a serious RP. It seems now you are willing to compromise.
It's not that I didn't want it, it's that it wasn't what I was striving for and you seemed to be a bit intense about it. I love serious roleplay and would love to start a Tiramisu server. But I have to find a coder willing to help me without pay. (I'm poor.)

Again, it isn't hard, it just depends on what you want. I'll do it as long as it isn't another City Life RP.
I can't stand City Life RP but you've already expressed your hatred for what I want. Post-Apocalyptic.

I never said I hated it, I've just said that it has been done to death.
Not with Tiramisu. But at any rate, that's what I want. Now, to find a coder..
