• GMOD Servers That You Absolutely Hate!

TTT & Pointshop ... Last time I played when I was traitor I would just place the same hat on as another fool, snipe someone with disguiser on, teleport and remove hat. TTT & Pointshop are indeed silly combinations, but they can be used in amusing ways.
All servers to be honest :suicide: 2500+ hours and still haven't found a gamemode I think is polished enough for me to waste my life on
sandbox.
Every random server I've joined has been pretty shit to be honest, are there actually any good ones?
Alright guys, I have a question, How custom do you guys like TTT?

Of course the owner and the administration team requires some kind of rationality but that goes with the first thing I mentioned. Find people like you and you'll feel home on their server. Again its easier said than done because I think we all agree Gmod's playerbase is pretty immature in general...

Again its easier said than done because I think we all agree Gmod's playerbase is pretty immature in general...
I was on a pretty mature / customized TTT server that was interesting enough to dedicate my time to compared to others. All the admins seemed 18+ and their general user base were also mature / average players. A mature server, will attract mature users. You'll have some kids hanging around, but as long as they aren't causing harm it's all good.
Nah, I totally understand why people hate Pointshops on TTT, a game which replies on everyone looking the same to create fairness The only problem is, a LOT of users really really like them. Like, before we implemented one, lots of people would say !shop in chat and even had people leave cuz we didn't have one! In the end, we put one in, but gave players the option to disable them clientside and not show up if the player was behind a window or x distance away
I understand where you're coming from on the same models to create fairness. But as I mentioned above I joined a pretty professionally crafted TTT server and one of their rules were that.. you can't call out by player model. So I guess that's a reasonably good fix for problems created by player model call out. Although if you have a unique model you can't really stop users from recognizing you even though they didn't catch your name. OT: I guess I don't like servers that use generic coderhire stuff. But then again my server that I'm creating is using generic coderhire stuff, so I guess I hate my server as well. Servers that are unorganized ( scoreboard ranks look sloppy, some things could use balancing that are obvious ) Even unorganized servers / plain servers get donations and a player base. So I'm not going to completely quit on making mine lol. But I try to be unique as possible, hopefully one day I can get my server to be completely unique.. but for now it's gonna suck =]
The thing is, you can do soo much with an Pointshop, if you take the time and think about it. For my Server i'm still in preperations for the update, which will include an Pointshop. When you think outside the classic Playermodel/Trail/Follower/Hats/Role Pass Box, there are nearly endless, good, Options for an TTT Pointshop.
I just made my own. People seem to like seeing effort put into things. Pointshops might be great to entertain a younger crowd, but my player base seems to keep building because the server looks "well made" their words not mine. Looking at some of the code now I facepalmed. [editline]24th October 2014[/editline]
Custom that isn't "coderhire custom" is good
FUCKING THANKYOU... Btw the word is Coderhire Cancer
