I know, I dislike people that try to make WoW comments, but WoW did not invent the flying mount.
I Also forgot that there are no classes.
Im just saying, I hope all of these skills will be worthwile, thats all. Didn't mean to offend if I did D:
Edit: I would replace Farming with Gathering, and maybe add Potion making, Uses items from gathering?

I wouldn's replace farming with gathering because Farming skills is also for planting stuff. But you did give me an other idea for Alchemist
Thats the word, It was on the tip of my tongue, Alchemist :P.
To much editing:
I'll just rattle some idea's off my head :P
Sorry if these are already mentioned xD
-Fletching
-Fishing
-Cooking
-Skinning
-Hideworking
-Glassblower
-Mercantilism (Buy certain unusable items, wait awhile, check the price and sellem)
For now, thats all I have :P
Is there a test server up for this? Would really like to try it out.
Hah, I randomly Saw [Maws test server] And I got in.
Barley loaded 1/5 of the map before the server was shut off.
I hope you didn't mind maw D:
Holy crap, maw u got great ideas for gamemodes and the skill to make them awesome :D
[Adding Skill]
Herbology ( Your Character learn to search healthy herbage - herbage are more efficiently than "normal" food to heal; rare herbage give you some special improvments for a short time [Do something faster])
Nice. Keep the ideas coming ill add them in because they are better than all those weird World of Warcraft fans lol
PS: Adding a new picture soon just to keep up custom wallpapers for you guys xD (am using a widescreen so yay!)
I will give you a rarefied (or rarefyied - English isn´t my native language :D) version of all skills with describtion included ;D
maybe
-Archery
-Priest (religious or spiritual w.e)
-Sailing
can think of many more.
Oh...wow.
This is made of sparkly golden win, can't wait for this so I can pull some strings and get someone to host a server with it. XD
Oh, and I noticed on one of the screenies some "Obsolete" entities, any chance of making a .fgd for this so I can map for it easier?
Not much of a RPer, but that's beast. Looks like a lot of time was put into it.
If you're still needing any skinners, I'm pretty good. :b
Oh and modest aswell. ;)
I'm highly impressed with this. This is one of few Gamemodes I can truly say I will play.
Argh! this needs to be released, id love to come on to Maws test server and test it! *HINT HINT*
New Skill?
Spellcrafting the ability to "make" a spell on a scroll or something, then when you read it you learn the spell, you need a certain spellcrafting level to make a spell :/?
could i ask when did this start?
This is looking wonderful. Hope you continue with the project to the finish.
Looks great, I will play this when you release it.
Looks epic, themaw. If you're looking to do THAT sort of skill system, try stealing some of the skills off of Runescape or Oblivion or some other RPG/MMORPG.
My ideas for skills, including ones that have already been said:
-Mining (Mining ores from underground sources)
-Woodcutting (Gathering wood for use in fletching or other things)
-Fletching (Creating weapons and ammo for archery)
-Carpentry (Build shelters)
-Farming (Grow crops and sell/eat them!)
-Fishing (Go fishing, I thought that was obvious)
-Blacksmithing (Create metal weapons and armor. Includes smelting)
-Athletics (Increases running speed gradually)
-Acrobatics (Increases jumping height gradually)
-Crafting (Create non-archery related wooden objects)
And for COMBAT skills:
-Archery (All forms)
-One handed swords
-Two handed swords
-Blunt (Clubs, maces)
-Pole Arm (Spears, halberds)
-Destruction magic (Fireball, ice, etc.)
-Restoration magic (Healing)
-Illusion magic (Buffs/hexes)
I stole this stuff from various sources. Feel free to cite my list, after all, I'm writing this in hopes that this gamemode turns out great!
Hmm. Good Ol' elder Scrolls :P
-First Aid (Can't think of another name) (Use various Items like Cloth and old cloth to Patch yourself up?)
Now, just a suggestion, Muskets, and blunderbusses. *Spellcheck*
Slow. Uber slow, But powerful. Just a SUGGESTION, No one get all rage on me now >:C
Right now fokes am practising Faceposing the NPCs :) I also need a modeller who can animate some models so i can use them in Old Age. I haven't been able to find one anywhere.
Wow, just wow. This gamemode looks amazing! I love MMORPGS and RPGS and I'm looking forward to this. Looks like great fun!
Any plans on custom playermodels?

You never really gave me anything to Old Age or any ideas to Old Age. So you are not in the credit list.
*idea*
Add a "Quick Item Menu"
What?
To eat melons or use other effect making items you must go into the normal item menu. However, it would be bad, if you´re fighting with somebody and getting low health points, you can´t heal and fight at the same time.
Adding the QIM, the F2 til F6 will be reserved by items which can be added to the QIM by right-clicking on them in the normal Item.
When you use a item in the QIM, the other items will move up til all slots are used.
Picture (drawn by me, so don´t mind)

Edit:// Just a outline, it could be look like that

I'm pretty sure you will be able to drag consumable items such as potions and food aswell as spells, to the actionbar wich is located to the bottom left. Watch the videos at OP.

I think some guy already suggested this. It was just a bindkey for items and the items should be placeable on the small bar on the bottom left of the screen.
Because eating food at the same time as fighting is realistic...
Because eating food at the same time as fighting is realistic...
Well lets hope he disables the use of food in combat. We could use potions in combat, and food out of combat.
I don't know much about lua.
But it should be possible to make a timer that starts every time you attack or use a spell. Lets say it would go up to 10 seconds, and after that the player will leave combat state unless the enemy npc is still focusing attacks on the player.
