what about the bigger ships? can you have huge resource deices that make huge amount of energy or oxygen such as fusion reactor in sb3 that power my huge flag ship. and can you have climate regulator and artificial gravity? or you should stay in that chair till you arrive to a planet. as far as i know it is barely impossible convert my ship into frontier "realistic" style. Ok so I had an idea for a weapon. No, its not a laser gun! Its a gun that sort of acts as a [I]mini EMP launcher[/I]... It would be for footman wars and would only work on people wearing a space suit. The gun would launch a small sticky device that would disable all electronics on its host. By disabling electronics I mean the space suit would not work, so if you were fighting on a non-habitable planet the person would begin to loose energy / oxygen and such thus slowly dying. The gun would have a fair reload time though, to prevent spam and making it overpowered. [I]Just a thought.[/I]

He'll start losing air and energy without even knowing, and it'll be too late when he realizes. (What's the radius for EMP wave then?)

And what do you mean "someone's base" the frontier not really support bases like SB3 it is more likely relate to small spacecrafts and colonization. There is no big buildings like carriers or spacebases except the few that the map already has built in.

Hl2 - SMG's would be ridiculous... Why would Frontier have them? I mean, its the same thing with SB3 you can disable "Sbox_weapons" which means it would only give you the tool gun, camera, and physgun. The small EMP device that would be launched from the gun would only effect its host, like I said. So if it landed on some LifeSupport devices it would disable them. Or if it landed on a person wearing a space suit it would disable their space suit. It's supposed to be that way.

Lets put everything together that we know about frontier. Actually it is a kid version of spacebuild: less lag for weaker computer and less resource kinds(only oxygen and electricity)that make less possibilities. The resource and life support gears are smaller and slower so the ships are smaller too(no more big epic cruisers and space stations). The resources are more valuable maybe trading is possible. Different spacesuits by looking and function. It is like a SpaceRP. There is a faction called radiation that generated by the sun and the RTGs and hold back the algae oxygen production to decrease the radiation you have radiation scrubbers. Lets see the devices then: solar panel 3 size, battery 3 size, algae tank(makes oxygen), RTG(makes quite low amount of energy), oxygen tank, air exchanger, heat exchanger, multi exchanger, something atmosphere probe like device, water electrolyzer, hydro generator, air compressor, wind turbine. The link between the devices looks good and it seems to be well scripted. Animating life support and resource modules. Only one map where the frontier works. About the map: it has many different planets and some asteroid clouds and 1 or 2 spacebase(s). The planets have animating sphere(like moving clouds). The sun has some effect such as radiation, gives energy by solar panels, it has gravity field too, it is animating and if you are too close you will be toast. 2 weapons: the beam cannon and the HASTE, both require a lot of energy to operate. No-clipping between planets is not possible because you will slow down in space. MAYBE there is a wormhole in the map with a cool traveling animation. I think this is it. Conclusion: it has many unique ideas in it and it will be a good looking elegant not lagging space gamemode but it will not step into the place of the SpaceBuild because in some point of view it is too closed, it does not support SBEP this means we can forget the gyro pod and the warp drive, it only has 2 resources at all oxygen and electricity and I do not think that I am the only one who will miss the water, the hydrogen, the fusion reactor and the spacestations. The Frontier put the emphasis to the colonization and the "lonely wolf" space traveling while the SpaceBuild stay to be the gamemode to build big spaceships, spacecraft and spacestation with mass amount of resources.

Use spaces,full-stops,commas and paragraphs. It helps. :P Also there is no reason at all to say there wont be big ships, you're only limited by your own skills and understandings. I wouldn't say that this is....how did you put it..."kid version of space-build" Its already got credits on its own, with no affiliation to space-build. Had it been derived from the code of space-build or based solely on its features, then you could safely say it was a "Kid version" But its not, It's new and fresh. If space-build was constantly updated then it would look something like this. The only reason that space-build is so big in your mind is because its been your proprietary game-mode of its kind, because it had a monopoly going on. Which is to say it was the only kind made so far, Now however it has a competitor that offers things it can't to people it couldn't reach, If you understand me, and lets be honest there's no reason you shouldn't understand.
