Doesn't work when the thread is 16 pages long.
We really need the person who started the thread to update with all of the stuff everyone has been saying here eg youtube links, developer quotes etc.

Well this is pretty much the 'official thread' seeing as all the info 'n' stuff is posted here...
Provided my profile let's me create a thread, ( I think you need x number of posts before you can host a thread) I'm willing to make an "official thread" if I get the blessings of the frontier head honcho. Can't do it right now though, since I'm on my Itouch and my wifi connection is kinda twitchy.

Trying to avoid an official thread right now, to be honest. We're waiting until we have something awesome to show, and for the gamemode to be more finished.

I guess if you guys are really upset about not having a proper OP, someone could make their own and contact a mod about closing this one. It wouldn't be official and we'd have nothing to do with it, though.

@DaApoc i know someone whos making a sb map for mcbuilds and i asked if he could put in a matc. he thought it would be stealing the idea from you and i did get the idea from your video about it. assuming you did make the map with that can he have your blessing on putting one in his map?
A quick question: will Frontier also code gravity? If so, do you know if there could be a way to change gib gravity? It's always really annoying to see gibs fall "downward" in space battles
this mod is looking great once this mod is released i think i use it with apwns star trek ship pack that way i have a fully working Enterprise - A :D

You'ld need to change the gravity prediction for every entity on the client. I messed a bit around with the physenv. library(which is shared) and noticed when you set the gravity to 0 there all gibs and ragdolls won't fall down, but that would kinda suck because it affects all entities at once. That can also cause ugly prediction bugs.
Gibs are clientside, like your corpse when you die. But Jinto made your corpse conform to the gravity of space and other planets. So it should be possible with gibs.

Of course CDE is its own special case.

Also, New Worlds 2 will be reworked for Frontier. Changes so far: -A large asteroid has collided with the spawn planet, destroying it. Humanity has escaped and has set up a permanent base at the asteroid base. -Asteroid base has been upgraded -A new planet has been discovered in the system -New structures and features have been created on existing planets
