I can't wait to play this when episode 3 comes out.
Yes but you can place the planets so that it seems so and the asteroid station on grp_iras was my favorite Also space ship I built for frontier
"This video contains content from Sony Music Entertainment, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds."
2 things, would it be possible to make a version of the solar system map that doesnt require frontier? Also, what did you use to make that awsome ship JDB?
Used phx also I will upload a version for non-americans brb Oh wait the music is built into the video itself it was playing on the server at the time
Mute the videos sound and add music over it.
would it be possible to make a version of the solar system map that doesnt require frontier?
this.that map is the most awesomeest sb map iv ever seen.
I suggest a map based solely on one planet (there's already one, but it's stupid, as it has a large wall that you can't see through at the air/space threshold), with ground-level, underground and low-orbit :D
Also space ship I built for frontier
You don't have a hope in hell of getting that thing flying on any server without being kicked.
You don't have a hope in hell of getting that thing flying on any server without being kicked.
116 props are nothing when parented nothing compared to most contraptions on GGG that are usually 200 or so for a single tank 300 is pushing it and causes buffer overflows
Indeed, I would know... Nothing is worse than when you just so happen to RSO 80% of the server population when they look at your 280 prop dreadnought :saddowns: Of course, the props are mainly hull, and will be parented, but that doesen't stop the RSOs :suicide: I'm a modbridge specialist when it comes to ships. Somehow, even the smallest frigates end up with over 80 hull props :psyduck:
116 props are nothing when parented nothing compared to most contraptions on GGG that are usually 200 or so for a single tank 300 is pushing it and causes buffer overflows
116 props is indeed nothing physically when parented. Still enough to piss off a server when moving =p
My ships are usually made out of 50-75 props, mostly wire and LS components...it annoys me to no end that this KILLS my fps when I start moving it. (Even when parented.)
Does the Poly weld tool reduce lag at all? i heard it's quite effective
Does the Poly weld tool reduce lag at all? i heard it's quite effective
it merges the models of whatever you click on, so you'll effectively have one(1) prop. Yes, it's pretty effective.
it merges the models of whatever you click on, so you'll effectively have one(1) prop. Yes, it's pretty effective.
Indeed, but it is also asking for a crash, and doesn't work in multiplayer at the moment.
Depends on what server you play on (hint hint). Nevertheless, poly_weld is flawed at the time of writing, and it requires some serious maths pros to make it work with the current engine, somthing we are in short supply of. Currently, poly_weld will blackhole if you smack two contraptions of over 60 props into each other. Parenting is still a good tool when used properly, it just wont fix what poly_weld would (RSOs and all) :saddowns: Back on topic to Frontier! We have spacesuits, but do we have gravity boots to walk outside the ship with? HUH? :smug: EDIT: @ rizzler below. I would prefer all 3...
We have spacesuits, but do we have gravity boots to walk outside the ship with? HUH? :smug:
i would prefer a grapple beam or some kind of blast jetpack (small blasts of air instead of a constant stream)
i would prefer a grapple beam or some kind of blast jetpack (small blasts of air instead of a constant stream)
I agree, constant air blast is a bit harder to control plus can freak out on you... (And doesn't conserve energy!) Hopefully it won't break like the SBEP Jetpack though, that one just becomes one with your DNA and you can't get it off no matter what.

unless you press Z or something, i dunno...
unless you press Z or something, i dunno...
Doesn't work, its like so glitched that it doesn't think you spawned it and so you can't undo it.
Are you going to be making your own ship models?
You could get rid of it by sitting in a chair and undoing/removing the chair.
Are you going to be making your own ship models?
They already answered this... No, they will not be making their own ship models, they will recommend SBEP Models for ship building.
Maybe not recommend.
Maybe not recommend.
Okay, well... Lol, its all we got anyways so... :sigh:
Doesn't work, its like so glitched that it doesn't think you spawned it and so you can't undo it.
weapons cant be undone at all.
if anything it'd be a recommendation to use vanilla props and maybe a bit of phx
Jah.
