But that game is all about making friends with the right people and not make enemys with certian people. The only thing that i dont like is the about of revengekills and metagaming ex. using info in ooc to work on. Ofcourse you cant judge them as many people sell things using ooc. anyway right now gwrp is really fun.

Also, I don't take RP as "pretending to be someone cause Im a dickless fuck who can't come out of the closet", but rather a game of games. It shifts. One minute I am solving an investigation, the next I am enforcing the people's revolution as the newly appointed President. Its more of a "game pack" to me than anything else.

And yes, while his argument is completely retarded, it is true that true roleplaying could essentially be roleplaying, such as if i was roleplaying being a contestant in a unreal tournament esque sport.

That some of the "second life" bullshit companies are pushing on people. "Ooh hey Im rolepalying here Im not a retard anymore!" Its stupid. Seriously, to people who can't do anything else, get a bloody grip on it already. All of my RPs are serious, that dosen't mean get carried away. This isn't some movie where people get some sort of second life and fall into the virtual world or something like that, like most stupid movies these days. Its a game. Nothing more, nothing less. You are supposed to play it, not pretend to be it.

PostNukeRP from the TEC group is pretty good. I've played there a couple times, and I really enjoyed it. Server wasn't a lagfest, and the players are kind and courteous and actually roleplay properly.

Genesis Roleplay is actually pretty good.

I'd just like to throw my two cents in about what "roleplay" is. Role-play. You play a role. It doesn't mean "/me everything", it doesn't mean "No shooting". It means to pick a role and play it out to the best of your ability. The reason it's often passive is because of server rules and the roles available to choose from. If I hosted a military RP where two factions just shot each other, you'd be playing a role of a soldier, and roleplaying. Dont tack fancy stuff on it to prove you're more correct then everyone else. Just my two cents, begin boxes.
