@Dlaor: Sorry, I missed that one. Thanks for the update. @Entoros: Thank you! Is this SVN updated often? Don't forget to submit bug reports as well, everyone!
@Dlaor: Sorry, I missed that one. Thanks for the update.
It still says FortwarsX is pending...
I do NOT give my permission for GarryWare Two. I had my gamemode under two different SVNs : Garry's Mod Beta SVN, and my own SVN. At some point, I could find servers that either hosted the latest version from GMBeta SVN, or an outdated version of my own SVN, or in rare cases the newest version from my SVN. In the worst of cases, I could even find servers hosting GarryWare One, which means they are hosting an old version from GMBeta. So that you get how pissing off SVNs are because end users (servers) don't bother updating them, and don't know from which they should get the source from. When it's the duplicate SVN that's late, then it's even worse because servers don't get any signal that maintenance has stopped. Any duplicate SVN adds to the confusion, but it is also very frustrating because as you are not holding up its contents, any critical update needed because there is a bug that gets fixed within 6 hours, duplicate SVN replicates the bug, distribute it for one day over the SVN, and then servers don't update for a while, and shit happens and everything.
Very nice, i've downloaded them.

I discussed with you the plans for the SVN, and I understand your concern. On another note, is anyone having problems downloading content? I believe I have to move everything from the individual content folders from the gamemodes folder to the specific, top-level folders in gmod, otherwise some stuff doesn't get downloaded correctly. Any input?

Thanks for the input. Your clients don't have a problem trying to download content (materials, maps, sounds) files?
the issue is that it puts everything in a folder called fretta so it ends up as garrysmod/garrysmod/fretta which does not work obviously so you then have to extract everything from that folder into its individual folders, which means that you cannot update.
Thanks for the input. Your clients don't have a problem trying to download content (materials, maps, sounds) files?
No because you have the folders (materials, maps, models, etc) however I do have to move a couple of the maps for gamemodes to work or else they can not dl the maps but all the other files download perfectly By the way no prob bout the input bro
I agree with Hurricaaane, duplicate SVNs are annoying. What would be a lot more useful is a thread containing the links to all the SVNs for the different gamemodes instead of all the SVNs put into one SVN. Then devs only have to update one SVN, servers can choose what gamemodes they want and you won't have duplicate SVNs which may not all be getting updated.
You should see if you can get this gamemode added to the list (Someone would have to contact the creator =-P) http://www.moddb.com/mods/mix
I know what you mean about having duplicate SVN's. I set up the repo with the intention that it would be easier to use the SVN as opposed to finding and downloading all the gamemodes. I did not anticipate adding gamemodes that were still under development. For that reason, I repo is more of a one-stop place where you can "click to get it all"; and again if you want any newly added gamemodes. Anyway, I'll keep it up as long as it's still a use to people. Thanks, -tas

I'm sorry, I just missed your post. Anyway, I don't think MIX is a fretta gamemode. :(
I'm pretty sure it is o.o
You're right. I just didn't open it up. I'll contact him and add it - IF ITS FINISHED. :P -tas
also I'm not sure if you already tried contacting this person but I'll post this here anyway =-P http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=872287 [editline]11:03PM[/editline] Some / most of the gamemodes here, I can't use my custom model =-( is there a way to inplant my model in all the gamemodes as like a admin only model?

I was looking at a the lua and I can just simply add my playermodel to the playermodel list on the gamemodes =-P, Wether or not other players will be able to use it I unno.. xD
Uhh, ok. Except for 90% of the gamemodes usually change your playermodel/don't let you change it/don't have a options menu. It might work for some and it might break for others.
Meh =-P Also, I got a fastdownload for the server (Yay?) What do I add to it? everything? or all the files sept the gamemode folder?
Best off adding everything in the svn to it, so there isnt any missing files, Also youll need to upload your cache folder from your server to the fastdl or anyone joining will see BASE gamemode. i think the cache would require each gamemode to be ran, and saved to the dua cache so the lua(dua) can be dled to client. Meaning you must run each gamemode, so it creates its own little cache, then upload to the fastdl, which is a shitload of hassile.
Ok thanks, I didn't know I would have to run every gamemode... this is going to be a pain in the butt.. xD
My "Mix" game-mode is in working order as far as I have tested. http://www.moddb.com/mods/mix
Is this still active I would like to get the latest Dogfight in this.

I believe I have to move everything from the individual content folders from the gamemodes folder to the specific, top-level folders in gmod, otherwise some stuff doesn't get downloaded correctly. Any input?
Yeah content living inside the gamemode's content folder has been a problem since day dot. Much the same thing as addons. If I am not mistaken though, this only happens with servers that are using http caching of content (sv_downloadurl). What I do for ICannt's servers is the following (It is a bit messy though): • Update/Download SVN • Do a search for folders named "content" inside the gamemodes folder. • Copy and merge those folders into a new folder merging all together at once. • Search for the hidden ".svn" folders inside this new folder and delete them. • Copy back all the content to the main garrysmod folder overwrting everything, but be careful that you don't overwrite say an existing map that might be actually more up to date! (I have seen this happen before with the old SVN). Ideally no gamemodes should use the "content" folders as it would make life much easier if you are caching. Other tips for running servers with http caching: Create a symlink or symlink combined with a permanent redirect to your direct dua folder for your server. This will mean that you do not have to keep updating your dua cache after each gamemode has been run.
Actually ignore a lot of what I said on my last post. I am setting up a server for the first time in a couple of months and have noticed some sweeping changes to downloading behaviour and cache setup. Now to get my head around it :)
Is first post updated ? Because I saw permissions to add dogfight and Gamemaster , but they are not in the first post
whenever i used the fretta gamemode in this SVN we all get kicked with this error: Client 0 overflowed reliable channel.
i will love you forever. you've saved me a wasted idea. have my first born child.
