Do I need to take off my green shoes with bells on tips?
Stop shitposting and maybe people will take you more seriously.
"Oh yeah it will be super easy, just drag the garrysmod exe into your ipod and bam! Garrys mod for ios"
You might think the idea is cool and will make you happy, but the vast majority of gmod players won't care about that idea and won't use it. On top of that, the amount of effort and work that would be required to do such a thing would be massive, something that a non-developer couldn't possibly imagine. Even a developer who was a slave to his community would be hesitant to do something that offered no real benifit to the mass majority of his userbase. This seems like it will just benifit you and make you happy. Unfortunately, that is not a good enough reason to do this.
Yeah sorry, not happening anytime soon because Valve probably isn't interested in porting an over a decade old game engine to the ARM architecture that iDevices use.
Well, it is written in C++ (for the most part, some stuff uses inline asm). Different architectures isn't much of an issue for them. Rather, Valve isn't going to port their shit to iDevices because it doesn't seem like a profitable idea or a good use of time. Garry isn't going to port gmod for that reason as well as the fact that gameplay on a touchscreen device will be completely different than that on a computer.
I got Win95 on my iPad, will that work?
Wow. Garry's Mod a mobile device? No one's ever thought of that one before!

You're wrong, they'd love it... The average facepuncher wouldn't sure, but the masses would probably buy it.
Nobody thought minecraft on a tablet would be much of a success but holy fuck you should see the hours my nieces have accrued on that.
Tablet gaming, specially among the young, is extremely big at the moment. A fun little flatgrass sandbox to make props fly around with viable physics could actually sell very well. Throwing props around with touch finger movements etc, I could see my 9 year old nephew going ape for that. The ability to make some Halo character perform preset actions/poses and have explosive things thrown at him etc, yea he'd go ape for it.
Sure not the entire gmod experience, but that's not what we're on about here. Minecraft on a tablet doesn't exactly run Feed The Beast/Tekkit level modifications yet it makes a fuck ton of money in sales.
There is most certainly a viable market for this, and the processing power of tablets could easily handle it. Wouldn't have to be source engine or even garrys mod but a similar sandbox game. There ya go folks, capital idea there, go go go make the game, make it f2p, sell model content for real cash transactions and make a fortune... I want 10%.
