• FP-Built DarkRP?

See this is not the first time someone has tried this as I'm sure you're well aware, FP-community servers always sound like an excellent idea before they come to fruition but by the end of it - well. Usually Facepunch members like to post about generic bullshit and how much they hate x and y and want it changed and want this and that but the fact of the matter is they are just as guilty of giving the playerbase to these 'shit' communities as anyone else. Problem: any new server pop-up requires a playerbase (especially when you're trying to give something 'new' - such as a non shit darkrp) the problem with that comes when you realise that loads of people will say they will play and can't wait and the de facto number is about 15-20% of those that originally signed up. Why is that specifically bad here? Because you're doing something different which will turn people who aren't diehard FP members away because we've seen it happen before and before that with every good attempt at changing darkrp it always ends up dead in the water. I don't mean to dishearten the idea and of course I'd love to see improvement in the community and I love the ideas you are presenting and the quality control systems you've implemented but it seems you're neglecting that you need to pick people up and in from more than just Facepunch because otherwise it will crash and burn. Apologies for the incoherent nature of the post and my general ramblings. Wish you the best of luck, will most likely check the server out if it all goes ahead and you should give me a PM if you need anything done etc. on the community side <3
