Anyways, Script kiddies have been around for ages. There are many places you just put in 5$ and can take a server down. Unless you have a pretty strong case and evidence, have a decent amount of $ for legal fees, and contact the FBI, there really isn't much you can do. If he joins a server and sees he is banned, more than likely he is gunna dos them too. The most useful item of information you left out, that would be HIS ip. With that, server owners could in fact ban his IP, and he wouldn't SEE the server he is banned from.
On another note: This is Facepunch, a mixed group community of internet baddies. You have everything from people who make hacks to the ones combating those hacks. People who make rape sweps, to people who make amazing works with their knowledge. You are going to get the good, the bad and everything in between in every post you make. That really isn't just here, that is the internet. Welcome it, love it, and cherish it.
I'll deal with this properly when I get home. To put it bluntly, im not pleased with these responses at all.
Someone released a nice wallhack recently and they got rated dumb many times, alongside many other client lua stuff that has been made just been rated dumb by people, same logic with server owners - they think that legal things like an ESP is worse than someone stealing files or them ddosing rule breakers. I've seen it done on many darkrp servers it's just not right when legal activity is seen worse than illegal activity, even if you can't be caught very easily for it its still wrong.
People can be reported for using booters if they are paid then they will leave a payment trace with the system they used to pay it with. Surprisingly enough network stressers have legitimate usage for companies testing their servers traffic so thats why they can exist on the clearnet and in search results without being removed for illegal activity. Contact the person who owns the website that hosts the booter and tell them it is being used for illegal purposes so they can terminate the subscribption of that person.
Compared to a botnet, a booter is very in-efficent and not good at all to use. I am sick of the people who have no idea what they are doing purchasing booters or using a free one and thinking they can break the law so easily when they probably don't even know how a booter works and don't know about computer networks at all that is why I am really against these people. They are being ignorant and they know nothing about what they are doing.
It is affecting peoples service to the game server by flooding so yes it is illegal. There are legal ways to lag a server and instead of doing them they do illegal ways it just doesn't make any sense at all.
My mistake it seemed I got the vibe from some of the responses that they didnt care about the person. They didn't say directly, I tried to help the guy out and people didn't like it at all.
If you were booted offline there are ways to prevent it if you have a dynamic ip address, you probably have a dynamic IP most people do (well at least in England).
1)Go downstairs
2)Go to the room where the router is.
3)Unplug the router.
4)Plug it back in
5)Do that a few times and you will soon be assigned a new IP address.
OK you are correct I misintreprited what people were saying in the thread I thought they were advocating DDOS but I just didn't see another way to combat the problem. I guess ignoring it will be a better Idea sorry for the confusion that was caused...
I don't know why people are more direct on this forum and lots of people seem to hate noobs here. I really don't get it. I just wanted to help this guy out but every time I try to help someone it turns into a huge argument... :/

He was permabanned because he couldn't function here but unbanned for Garry's Birthday and has reduced the lengthy threads about DarkRP and ethics but they seem to end up in posts now. Frankly its a bit annoying because he's always on a high horse looking down on the rest of us and just goes on and on about topics

Well if that what you guys think it's not true or my intention. I don't want to look down on other people I Just get frustrated and don't understand some things.... It's just that in MY mind - doing illegal things should warrant some sort of action to stop it, well thats what I think anyway.
What I post on the forums is what others are posting - my own personal opinion or take on the subject.
I really don't understand how many people work on the internet to be honest :(
