It also mentioned that they were discrediting DarkRP as a good gamemode because of this, and this was another way to get money from selling addons at ScriptFodder.

No becaues it's garrys job to make games, It is what he has got qualifications for and its entire life. Gmod coders just do it to make quick cash and they don't have it as their main job. If you have gmod coding as your main job then you have many other problems to deal with than that...

FP doesn't remotely resemble a cult or a hivemind, many of the seasoned developers despise the everloving shit out of DarkRP for various reasons. Not as some form of "indoctrination", you'll see newer members hopping on the bandwagon to fit in, but they can be spotted a mile away and it's not encouraged behaviour to bandwagon.
As for developers selling their shit. I dislike it quite a bit myself as it leads to people doing nothing but fulfilling requests for kids running generic roleplay servers rather than experimenting and coming up with fun stuff over time. But it's a steady source of income from fucking idiots who are willing to pay for it. Whenever I get super bored I take up small requests to avoid people paying cashmoney for literal single file scripts because sometimes you do have to look out for stupid people. But if they want to spend their parents money on "ultra HD combine poleece gang skin" then whatever, their loss.

I like to talk about prop-killing. It's a forum about gmod. Propkill is part of gmod so I don't see why I shouldn't have to mention it. Well I guess a project could be hard work but you don't do that project just because you wan't to sell it. You do it so you can enjoy it for example I built my scripts so I can use them and enjoy and also give to friends and to another website for people to USE and enjoy.
I didn't think. "Okay I am going to do this project not to have fun and learn things and enjoy but to make a ton of cash from people and sell it on script-foder" - It's true that lots of people don't even enjoy the work they put in scriptfodder because some of the people who explicitly say they hate DarkRP produce content for DarkRP....
