Yes, I downloaded the tool version, and it worked well. And it can create some really funny things too.

Sliders that s*ck ass Always bugging and stuff :( So you need to remove half your work. They work perfect for simple rising platforms and such but as soon as you make a slider on a vehicle and it bumps just a little bit it goes around the map bugging like hell. Or Hydraulics that are sloppy, not strong. I wish everything was less flexible so you can actually make arms that can extend without bending through to the floor.

That's the cost for making it easy for people to post stuff on workshop.. I would rather see it splitted in "official releases" and "users releases"

Sometimes when I spawn big props they end up spawning just above my head and then I get squish :( Also, I put the gravity to 0 and ragdolled myself thinking I would float away but I just fell normally, which was rather disappointing.

I hate spawning anything and having like 5% of it clipping underground. So close yet so far..

That happens to me too, and it gets really mad when you cant get the prop to pull out of the ground. Sometimes it helps to spawn in the sky but then you can get squish. Striders are especially difficult because their legs tend to get caught in the ground or sometimes they start flying away on you, because I think strider is a slightly modified air NPC. But if you spawn an Antlion Guard and a Strider and the guard rams the back leg, the Strider begins to fly. It's rather amusing, really. Another mad thing: I was trying to make a big thing of ammo, to dupe for my own personal use later, but it kept insisting on picking up the ammo. I gave up on it.

OK 2 more things lol 1. The fact that helicopters/gunships/etc npcs suck ass and don't/can't move. If you move them with your phys gun they just fly back to where they were spawned. 2. Trying to place an object in the corner of a room and it ends up slingshotting at your face.

Air NPCs don't work well unless the map is air-noded, and maps with air nodes are not very common.

Ah, I wan't aware there were specific nodes for air NPCs

Meaning you can't take them into the color room on construct without some physgunning, but with a little manipulation you can make them do what you want them to do if there are air nodes scattered around.

Theres a nodegraph editor on the Workshop that may be worth a look.

About nodegraph editor: Im not 100% sure, I havent really tried it. Striders use strider nodes which i think are a slightly modified air node. Check the valve developer wiki site. Sometimes the AI can be simultaneously smart and dumb, which is more frustrating than them being constantly dumb. I set up a big fight between Combine soldiers and an Antlion Guard. One of the Combines ran up onto this hill that the Guard couldn't reach (the ledge was too narrow) and began shooting the guard from there, and I thought "that's smart." Until he ran back down and promptly got headbutted. Also sometimes antlions will run into water and drown instead of taking a safer route when its possible, not to mention the incident where NPCs ended up running around at the bottom of a lake (they must have really good breath-holding skills). The pathfinding of the AIs can be a little strange sometimes.

Bad Gmod Updates & Most of the junk that comes out of the workshop. Most of it being useless poises and bad contraptions :pwn:

The magnificently broken saving. I so enjoy having to clear a map of objects only to have every object respawn after I reload a save and have those very objects duplicate many times over. It's so fuckin' convenient. I'm glad Garry isn't fixing it.

The game shuts down, saying it doesn't have enough memory, when I had been keeping an eye on it and the memory usage was only at 30%. It was a big map though. Also forgetting to turn off AI before spawning an NPC and having them kill you immediately.

Unnecessary mic spam. Mainly trouble in terrorist town when it becomes a contest of who gets heard over the people that actually have something relevant to say.

The idiots who stereotype younger players (around 12 years of age) as being useless, stupid, squeaky and annoying "noobs". Do they instantly mature once they turn 13 or something? Most of the younger players I've spoken to on a server have been very friendly and mature, they do nothing to harm anyone and them some angry bastard joins the server and starts abusing them simply because they are younger, It's fucking ridiculous. Judging a [I]whole[/I] group of people based on the behaviour of one or two people is extremely stupid, and anyone who does it should feel ashamed.

Here are two: That the rope tool and the nail tool look kind of ugly, I mean, its not a big deal when building things but I once wanted to pose someone with something tied to their back and I could not get the ropes to look right, when with different materials, then another time I tried to use the nails (the welding and parenting kept glitching out) and they looked like giant crossbow bolts and the color tool did not work on them and the nail thing I find odd because I seem to remember that in GMod12 the nails were rather small. Wow, what a runon sentence than turned out to be. Also I am bad at building things. It is fun but the one and only time i tried to make a car the entire thing flew apart and ended up scattered everywhere.

I can't take a community that doesn't DDoS its competitors seriously. :v:
