I have to confess something. Whenever I see such people joining my server and acting like that, I meatspin them... Just to show them how much of a dick they are.

I don't really see the point in getting a CPU with more than four cores, quite a few pieces of software don't even use four.

When a most recent Workshop glitch screwed me and nearly everyone that has Gmod over. I can't believe that a bug unsubscribed all the addons I have downloaded.

that happened a lot to me in deathminge servers, i build some wiremod death machine and everybody tries to hl2RPG it even when there actually was an rpg swep on the server that could damage props :v:
Why have all my addon subscriptions been removed for no fucking reason? I don't want to download all my stuff again.

Garrysmod suddenly decided it didn't want to start up anymore. It crashes immediately upon starting up, verifying cache and reinstalling has done nothing.

Fuck the default auto update system, extract every single gma file manually!
Leave the gmas as they are. The auto-update mechanism would save server owners [I]a lot[/I] of time if they didn't extract them manually!
Just one warning in using the old addon system after extracting: For some reason it loads a buttfuck slower than GMA's. I removed a couple of testing addons I had made a while back (Read: Not more than 5) and my load time was shaved by about 3 minutes.
To add onto the workshop thing, when people upload files to Garry's Mod workshop that have the most basic changes(ex. the damage, ammo, recoil, ect.)

A friend of mine recently shut down his minecraft community.
Over like two years, he made like 2k in google ads on the forums
Garry's Mod 13, it all went downhill from that. Community, the servers, the quality of content. Now it's either kids who saw a Youtuber playing on the game and asked their daddy's for money or the idiot's who just come in to troll, most likely from the game that one the award for #1 most hacked console game ever Call of No Skill.
Seriously Garry's Mod 12 was the last time the community and servers really meant and stood for something, now you get 100 servers on a gamemode because some 12 year old had some paypal money and decided he could run a Melonbomber server or whatever. I miss the communities that put time, hard work and team work into things like SGC Clan, Sazzilisation (in it's early days) and more. Garry's Mod as it was when it was released and it's community is dead to me, now you have to try your hardest to actually find a community within it that still stands for something.

Also moneywhores, sadly to say even some cool Gmod coders turned Gmod into hell. Such as _undefined, why create such an abomination as coderhire, it's greedy and horrible, Garry's Mod was all about sharing and creating cool things to play with people. Now it's all a load of greedy money whores that will make you spend $20 on a basic HUD or chatbox. Hell theres an RP gamemode going for $180 on coderhire, it's pretty crap as well I tried a server running it, slow, dead and a horrible rip off of one of Conna's old gamemodes pre-clockwork.

Because you have no right of criticizing people who do something if you don't do it in a better way yourself.

This logic can be applied in many ways though. It's kind of bad.

Wow your very hypcritical yourself, I have released plenty in the past, they were on my old facepunch account which I can't access, I've helped make things for lots of communities including GMservers, SGC Clan and sazzilisation. Just because someone doesn't have workshop content they have never made something? Wow so sad if that's what Gmod community is like now.

I'm not I just don't like when people assume something from knowing nothing, fair enough I don't use the workshop I personally just don't like it, and plenty of amazing developers don't release stuff on the workshop or facepunch, they may simply just put their skills into making cool and amazing servers for people to use. How contributive you are isn't decided by your workshop content or facepunch threads.
