And it's no one's but the players fault if they don't read the server title.

You know you can kick them before they download content, right? And Kicking before 100h is useless, most people just stay retards

Anyway, theres a lot of other servers that people could play on if they don't have the hours

I can sort of see the appeal of needing x hours to join a server but it also feels like you're punishing people who've done nothing wrong because you're too lazy to admin properly

7 months of GMod didn't teach me to be too lazy to moderate/administrate a server, because most of the danger comes from the experienced people and not the minges. Those 7 months taught me how rotten and wasted most of the ingame-sandbox-community is and when I was playing on a server with a 200h limit and noticed how perfectly peaceful people were playing, building and coding there, I had to get a script like that as well. I expect a certain level of common sense from people who join, therefore I don't apply a load of rules. It's a build/code server, not DarkRP. Sorry if I'm way too above the average age of GMod's in-game sandbox community with my almost 22 years. If you allow, I'd like to quote a nice ULX advert from a good server: "We don't have a ruleset here. Act well towards your fellow players and we'll do the same." ...And the daily 9-10 people never had any complaints so far. Just to mention it, the server runs with 14 slots and is intended to attract people who aquired at least basic knowledge of building and/or coding. Anyway, BTT: Had this happening yesterday evening. An old player who used to play on my server joined after months of inactivity and after a few minutes of exploring the map, he asked me why I removed all the weapons (I actually just restricted them to staff/respected ranks...), the duplicator, the jeeps and airboats and all that "cool stuff" from earlier times. I asked him politely if he'd like to take a look around the other people and tell me how many missbehaving people, spammers, annoyers (mingebags in general) he sees. He then understood the point of my change and went off to a WAC/SCars sandbox. I never played in GMod's golden times (9 and 10) and seeing people like the one I told you guys about now just makes me both sad and mad. Seeing how people waste the potential of the software they bought for just 10 bucks with pre-made things instead of aquiring and creating things themselves. ONLY reason I'd ever use addons like TDM cars and such is to rebuild them with props and attend to Jackpody's laptimes event.

How frequently Workshop crashes Gmod AND takes Steam with it if I download one too many addons (this time it was a measly 3) in a single go.

How there's no search option for dupes, saves or anything like that in-game. I know that there's a friend's upload category in there, but come on, you know where I'm getting at.

How people are using workshop dupes in first place anyway. It's only either poorly built contraptions or good looking but, due to constraints, extremely laggy contraptions.

The fact that everybody knows the Gmod community is really shitty, and there's nothing we can do about it.

People on the workshop who don't have the slightest clue about how mapping works and why you can't go and do interiors for every building on large maps like gm_fork and gm_bigcity. I had my Destructible Doors addon hit the front page and stay there for a while; its mostly answering the same questions over and over, telling people to read the description, and deleting copypastas. Oh and the one guy who asked "where do i find doors?". Bless his heart
