Things that piss me off in Gmod Five Nights at Freddy's that is all Trolls and mingebags on build servers Getting rdm'd as a T/ Dying before I accomplish anything as T Forgetting to back up my Gmod folder When I'm building a set to make a screenshot, come close to finishing, and crash before I save
I decided to blacklist all the bad zs servers I found and now there's barely any servers with players on them. Why can't people play on the good servers?
The Urban Gamers staff got upset that I was building hobo warships called "The Strong Black Women" "Best Pirate Ship" "Viva Don't Give a Fuck" and setting my job to "Rule Breaker and Pirate" all the while playing this in the background.
just had some random lemon punch staff member add me to advertise and try to sell me their admin mod, no thx i have ulx now fuck off please
[LP] Gurrazor: Hi Tim B: Hello [LP] Gurrazor: I would like to speak to you only if you're not too busy. Do you have a moment? Tim B: Sure [LP] Gurrazor: Okay, I run an administration mod called <link to Server Guard website> [LP] Gurrazor: In connection to our Christmas sale, we thought it'd be a good idea to directly contact server owners and ask them for their opinion on the features we offer and ask if they would like to give any suggestions regarding new features etc. Tim B: Make it free [LP] Gurrazor: Based on the features we have, what do you like and what would you like to see? [LP] Gurrazor: Heh, anything but that xD Tim B: I dislike the corporate approach to it [LP] Gurrazor: Why? It seems more of an emotional vague view than a rational one? Tim B: Whenever I'm on Facepunch, all I see are peoples' titles saying "NEAT BRIGHT SHARP NEW ADMIN MOD" Tim B: It leaves the impression that you guys are really pushing people to purchase it [LP] Gurrazor: Yeah, our marketing has obviously not be ideal [LP] Gurrazor: been* [LP] Gurrazor: But, aside from the marketing aspect. Us making a profit and operating SG through a company shouldn't really have a rational downside? Tim B: That's my opinion Tim B: I have a question [LP] Gurrazor: Anything Tim B: How did you find me? [LP] Gurrazor: Your community Tim B: Which? [LP] Gurrazor: License to Build [LP] Gurrazor: Do you have multiple ones? Tim B: Yes Tim B: How did you find LtB? Tim B: Was it gmodpri.me? [LP] Gurrazor: Yeah, came across it there and read up on it a bit. Seems nice Tim B: Ok Tim B: I appreciate that you're reaching out and asking people what they want to see Tim B: But with all due respect, I'm not planning on purchasing anything Tim B: There are very good free options like Exsto that I already use [LP] Gurrazor: Okay, I'm not going to argue or debate it. Just asking. :)
I dislike solicitation and shameless self-plugs And also how people like Gurrazor run their communities and rape small children of their money [editline]10th December 2014[/editline]
just had some random lemon punch staff member add me to advertise and try to sell me their admin mod, no thx i have ulx now fuck off please
Hey small world He found you through gmodpri.me

Same guy wanted me to advertise that addon on the gmod coders steam group
23:28 - [LP] Gurrazor: Hi. 23:28 - ‏Willox: hi 23:29 - [LP] Gurrazor: I represent a product in GMod called ServerGuard. Have you heard of it? 23:29 - ‏Willox: yes 23:29 - [LP] Gurrazor: Hopefully you'll have a decent view of it. It has gone through a long period in which it had some considerable flaws until recently. 23:30 - [LP] Gurrazor: Anyways, since recently it's quite up to standards. 23:31 - [LP] Gurrazor: Essentially, I'm looking for ways to advertise it and I saw that you're an admin in the GMod Coder Steam group. I wonder if you would possibly be interested in advertising ServerGuard in it for a payment? 23:31 - [LP] Gurrazor: Understandably it would probably be a group decision between you and the other admins. 23:31 - ‏Willox: there isn't really anyone that own servers in the group 23:31 - ‏Willox: except a couple of peopel 23:32 - [LP] Gurrazor: I see.. But just the mere concept of advertising in the group in exchange for money. Is it something you'd consider? 23:32 - ‏Willox: not really 23:32 - ‏Willox: i doubt you'd gain anything out of it 23:32 - [LP] Gurrazor: Well, there's a couple of things I'd need to advertise but that I would like to advertise in an a manner that targets coders efficiently. 23:33 - [LP] Gurrazor: But, okay. 23:33 - [LP] Gurrazor: Are you by any chance interested in serious roleplay in GMod? 23:34 - ‏Willox: nop 23:34 - [LP] Gurrazor: Okidoki. Well, in so case I'l just thank you for the time. Thanks anyways. 23:34 - ‏Willox: cya
This guy added me as well but hasn't said anything yet Send hlep
This guy added me as well but hasn't said anything yet Send hlep
Drown him in pugs until he leaves
There was this guy once who wanted to sell me pointshop. I ran a build server what in the world would I use pointshop for?.. Anyways another thing that gets my piss boiling in Gmod is how nearly every server is run like a company. It just makes it seem like they are hosting the server for money and not because they really want to. I used to play alot of DarkRP but now they have become ''giveusyourmoneyRP''. I have only found a few build servers where they dont want to take all your money. And I found one good ol' spacebuild server but it is ofcourse pretty dead ://
Oh dear god he added me too i think i might just remove him now
Servers who use ads also piss me off, ads are the worst way to monetize and I'll end up leaving your server if your MOTD has like 5 of them on it, or if I have to watch a 30 second video for Bed Bath and Beyond every round relevant to the discussion at the top of the page
There no longer seems to be a separate volume bars for awesomium and gmod in windows volume mixer. Why must I be tortured with dubstep?

Got banned from a server whilst in the joining process. Ban length is 1 week and 1 hour, for having a name which is completely full of random letters, exclamation marks and such. That's very friendly indeed. EDIT: I've realized that the structure of my sentence is complicated.
Some servers are extremely cautious about names like that because most of the time, they're trouble makers with complicated names so it takes more time to actually ban or kick them. Usually server crashers who use that precious time to spam more or do the exploit they're trying to do to crash it. However to ban someone immediately before they can join and prove themselves otherwise? Yeah, that's stupid.
That Lemonpunch guy didn't add me. Looks like I'm not popular enough :( But yeah, I do think that addon is cancerous.
Not being able to see the fucking map name
Not being able to see the fucking map name
Open console Type "status" (Though I agree with you, that's kinda silly)
Same guy wanted me to advertise that addon on the gmod coders steam group
Well, if you were upset or bothered by me contacting you about this, I'm sorry - I did not mean to annoy you. As for the other people posting about me contacting them in this thread, I can't say much more than that I'm sorry if you were annoyed as well. I personally like direct outreach and one-to-one discussions about the services I offer. A lot of the people I contacted who aren't in this thread were rather positive and gave me a great deal of useful feedback. Some of them ended up purchasing ServerGuard, and so far they are happy about their purchase. I like talking to server owners and find out how they operate their communities and what they demand, and my intensions are by no means to bother or annoy anyone.
While it may not be your intentions, sometimes people receive it in the same way they do telemarketers or unsolicited door-to-door salespersons, aka, annoying as shit. Yeah, it may work better for some, but a lot of others may not like it at all, and give you a bad rep over it, overall possibly lowering the amount of business people wanna do with you. But hey-- If you end up doing more business with it, good for you I guess.

There is some really valuable feedback and understanding to be gained from direct outreach and one-to-one discussions, but on the other hand the approach has to be polite, respectful and humble. Even then some people will take it in a negative manner, so in the end a choice has to be made if direct outreach is worth it. I'm however hopeful that if I clarify my intensions and respect for each person and their decisions, they may not see the experience in such a negative light. It would be quite a shame if a modest and respectful direct outreach approach was disqualified given how much value it can bring to development and service.
The thing about Gmod that gets me mad nowadays is the fact that the workshop is almost completely dominated by fads and the things that come with it. If you look at the workshop now, you'll notice a BUNCH of the more popular things are dupes/saves of those FNAF2 ragdolls. It almost makes me want to stop submitting sweps knowing that it'd probably get drowned out by these things clogging up the front pages. Maybe I've just grown accustomed to actual, user-submitted things like sweps, maps, and ragdolls.

Most of them have 100-200 hours on GMod and more. When I had 200 hours, I was learning god damn suspensions...

If anything's really worthwhile, you can 99% of the time find it under the addon releases subforum.
What bugs me the most are the steam achievements. The "addict" achievement & the "I'm the real garry" should simply be removed.
I hate server owners who make threads about joining their server
I hate server owners who make threads about joining their server
It's called advertising. Aslong they don't go like (Join plz plz plz) or just make undetailed posts it's fine. You probably would do the same if you had an server in order to keep it alive and not waste your money on it.
HL2RP. I was just leaning on a wall this one time and my character was black. Next thing I know, some cop comes up to me, says "Nigger." then "Move along." I move away and say "Asshole." The fucker shoots me in the leg then drags me into jail then when I get up, he shoots me. Why the fuck did I even join that shitty server.
