One thing I hate almost as much as the little kids in this game are the fans of NoCollide-Multi, Smart Weld and their kind, who spawn their 50-prop-9000-constraint-contraptions and then complain about getting kicked, banned for refusing to fix their contraptions because they lag the server and also complain about the server being too weak to withstand 9000 constraints on 50 props.

Oh that doesn't count as terrorism, that's more of an exploit. Maybe server communities should stop with ambiguities and put their client-side lua protection that comes with the game back on.

Those tools should all be banned at this point, there are very few things you should be welding and nocolliding in these days.

Aren't those tools the very foundation of over 75% of anything ever made in GMOD?
Sure you could use ropes if you wanted your shit to flap around like a fish anytime it moved 1mm, but personally I like welding.

NoCollide Multi and Smart weld are not included in the base game, and they do have a tendancy of spamming constraints

I have a hard time finding good sandbox servers to play on. It takes so long, because most server have a ton of downloads, and then when you finally get on, most of the building tools are restricted, or people are just constantly killing you, etc.

On topic, kids that come in, kill you because it's against the rules, then leave. I used to moderate a server that a buddy of mine owned, and we got a ton of kids that immediately started blowing people away. I'd always strip them and remind them about the rules, then they'd shake their heads up and down, pick up a gun, shoot me or someone else dead, then abandon ship. No idea why, but it definitely gets me pissed.

Well people tend to weld things like car bodies, which are purely for visual effect unless if you make yours breakable and crashable. Welds are expensive to run for things used purely to make stuff have a look. Parenting is more effective, and it treats prop physics as if the props are frozen, so there is no physics based lag, constraint drag, and no constraint at all. What's more efficient, 1 -2 constraints per prop or 0?
