You can either have a build server OR a kill server. But both at once won't work.

CSS is bullshit, same as any other CS game. It's one of the reasons why the GMod community is so infested with diaper-shitting squeakers who got nothing else to do than looking for SWEPs when they spawn and shoot down anything that moves.

So a group of 7 guys came into my server last night and abused my text to speech addon by playing some phoneme command that was just extremely loud noise that never ended. After i banned the first wave i made my script disable phoneme interpretation and not play the text to speech even if they tried to turn phoneme interpretation back on. It was so easy banning them after that because all they would do is chat spam and nothing would happen :v:

What are you even on about? 80% of the little kids in gmod have gmod because of youtubers. I dont think any of them play any counter-strike game. They are the way they are because they have low attention spans.

there used to be a gamemode called deathminge that had both building and killing, people that used guns were basically the dumb grunts of the server and when the wiremodders came out to play you would frequently see battles between death machines of various different designs.

The problem being that it wouldn't work these days as good builders will avoid any server that has 'kill' or 'minge' in its name and the average gmod player doesn't know how to use wiremod or build anything of value so it just ends up essentially being call of duty on a large map

that stuff was fairly common but it sometimes got very elaborate such as remote controlled flying drones, forcer jetpacks, teleporter/explosive booby traps and shark drones that killed anybody that went into the water (on gm_excess_isles no less).

One guy made an anti drone system that would use a gimballed ranger pick up the object id of one of the drones prop components and then use an applyforce gate to crash the drone into the ground and render it unusable.

Plus there was the flashy stuff like giant zeppelins that floated overhead and fired hails of explosives at the ground.

did i mention people built all this themselves using the wiremod chips, e2 was banned and adv duplicator was setup so you could only spawn things you had either created yourself or that somebody else had allowed you to copy by setting you as buddy in prop protection.
edit: advanced dupe also had a 5 minute timer between each dupe spawn so you had to choose wisely when picking which death machine to deploy

Friend of mine has a nice build server, if you are into building yourself. Calm atmosphere, mature attitude among peeps and no bullshitting around.
