The lack of really good radars.
There used to be one called Proxi that was really great, a tad laggy since it also rendered props and such, but it was extremely versatile and had a lot of settings and customization options. But as far as I know no one's working on it anymore and it broke when GM13 came out.

I haven't been able to find a good radar like it since.

I even found the thread for it that I bumped back in 2012 and there's still no info on it.

go to options and disable all custom downloads except maps
iunno about you but id much rather see a red error every now and then than having to download 2gb of content thats mostly donator only bullshit

I think the workshop probably does have a bigger audience, although a large portion of those users are incoherent and you could be forgiven for thinking they had brain damage

I sort of see the Workshop good for stuff like player models and stuff you'd wanna fuck around with, but bad for 'big' addons that you'd want to configure, if that makes sense?

I understand that with the project part, it's just I don't really have anything to post onto the workshop as far as what I create, and yet people find stuff I did when I barely even knew Lua (heck, the comments on this were from a Derma reskin I did long ago), it just annoys me to have people critique me on older stuff that I really don't manage anymore.

There is no such thing at being bad at Garry's Mod for building things differently than you do. That's fucking ridiculous.

I could understand if the guy was saying his way was the best way ever and everyone who doesn't do it is awful, but from what I'm seeing, he was minding his own business until you/whoever else stepped in and shat on his methods completely unprovoked. Of course someone is going to get offended. Wouldn't [I]you[/I] get upset and defensive if someone started shitting on YOUR building methods?

Building with PAC doesn't even really propose a severe problem on anything. Lag? Turn off PAC! Is someone trying to have a tank battle with a tank with a PAC body? Yeah that's shitty, but if there isn't a specific rule against it, change that and then kick them! But if neither of those are a problem like if someone is just making stuff for themselves not to fight with, then shut up and let them be! Simple as! There's no need to whine and bitch at something you don't like, especially if you refuse to fix that problem when you easily can without plain up insulting and harassing people.

Rant over, but that's shit that gets me mad in Garry's Mod.

DarkRP is quite popular on the workshop. All configuration is done in a separate addon. Same way for the downloadable version.
