Oh yes, the E2Power. I remember looking through its code, it had some functions that can be considered cheating as well as hardcoded ban for a few players. Also addon's author was perma'd on wiremod forum because of that hardcoded ban "feature".

All of these guns that this kid's been uploading. Just really shitty hitscan weapons on M9K like usual, but these come with shitty textures that cover 90% of the original model. This one's special because it just uses code from the existing Ray Gun SWEP, except it causes fucking errors when it shoots the ground.
I pointed that out to the uploader, told him that he should keep practicing and tried to be as nice and supportive as possible and this happened:

I make weapons one because I enjoy coding and creating designs and two, redacting my previous statement, because even though the workshop has tons of troglodytes trying to make the game as boring as humanly possible, there's still a lot of people that appreciate and are inspired by my SWEP work. Spastik2D's weapons pack is one of the best I have ever seen actually, I don't see why more servers don't use it for popular gamemodes since they are unique and interesting..... And maybe he enjoys what he does so he does it and that seems like a good enough reason..... Would you rather have just bad stuff on the workshop instead?

They expect it to have AAA support, dedicated servers no problems at all kind of things, not two guys picked up from a community forum. Garrysmod has had a track history of broken updates and so on, these guys just haven't gotten used to it.
