Well, this is more Facepunch than GMod, but oh well.
Anyways i saw a video of the Drunk Combine on YouTube and it looked like so much fun i figured out how to install it and such. Anyways Ive mentioned 50 billion times I dont go into multiplayer
So I decided to search the facepunch site and see what people here thought of it and i was sad to see that some people say it should be banned completely because it makes multiplayer lag (i can understand them not liking it because of that but saying it should be banned completely or being rude to people who ask for help setting it up is sad to me)
Its almost as though people forget that multiplayer isnt all there is
Anyways its pretty fun to use in singleplayer. I mean for me.

I downloaded a map from garrysmod.org that looked nice but when I loaded it all the water was this weird yellow and black streaked thing and when I looked closer the black streaks seemed to be a word but I could not read the word and I have no idea how to fix this because it seems like an error in the map itself and other than this weird water thing it's a very very very nice map.

Well I looked a bit more and it seems to say 'nodraw' so I looked it up on here
And yeah i think i would have to mess around with the map with the sdk to fix it but I'd have no idea where to start and anyways when I tried to load the map file into Hammer it would not load. I think I'm doing something wrong.
Well it may have helped if i decompiled the map first. Still no idea where to start. Sigh.
Also when good addons disappear from the Workshop and i left wondering where they went. I keep scheduled backups of the addon folder though so its not as bad as it could be.

You could have 16,000GB of RAM and it wont make a difference, it'll be a CPU/Disk/Network bottleneck.

Because I for one don't want to download 1000 useless and often poorly optimized models.
I hate it more than enjoy it, but the main server I go onto when I'm either building a contraption or doing some expression2 I always get hassled by people asking me how I do that or how I build, not to mention ask me if they could have something that I took a week to make. I'll teach the people I see that have a heart for building and need help in something they want to construct but if there just looking to waste my time to hell with them.

How everything I enjoy causes problems of some sort.
For instance, just a while ago I got really pissed because people were complaining about my plane's EGP HUD sending massive updates to everyone. Something I can't fix because EGP HUD isn't clientside for some stupid fucking reason. Why doesn't it just have an OPTION? Why does it have to send updates to people who don't even SEE it? Why not just ME or the owner of the damn thing!?
I wanted it so I could keep my bearings in space, because it was a spacebuild map.
It was one of these:

Also, if this thing lags. Everything lags. 800 IN is not something to bitch about for an adaptive spaceplane with an HSI.

Well I just removed things on it you never use, like the precision indicators.

When you download an addon and it gets banned, the fact it is arbitrarily removed from your menus with no warning or reason given. I'm getting really tired of my addons being deleted, particularily the good addons that seem to be the target most of the time. If something is banned, fine, it can't be used on multiplayer servers, but leave the damn singleplayer alone. Quit deleting my addons!!

This is why I keep backups of my addon folder. If an addon disappears you can just use it as a legacy. Its not to hard to set up.

Okay heres a mess. i was trying out different screen recorders for another game, as my usual one doesnt pick it up for some reason. I set the same keyboard shortcut for all.
I decided to take a break and mess with gmod and then make a video of an npc fight. I hit that keyboard shortcut. While all the screen recording programs were running. Very messy result to say the least.
